Do you still good friend if you did't talk and meet for a very long time?

If I was not in the same place with my friends and we did not talk for a long time,maybe we do not have many to talk,because the envoriment we are is not the same,and there will be difficult to communication and we just talk something that is not important...

Maybe it depends on how close you are to your friends. I haven't seen the person I consider my bestfriend in almost a year. Whenever we have chance like when she's in the city or I'm in our province (where she lives), we make an effort to see each other, try to update each other on the latest happenings in our lives. There is so much to talk about. We just love reminiscing our schooldays.
