There is no doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo is a very skilled player and that he had a positive impact while playing for Manchester United, but I've always stated he is not among the club legends. While people were worshipping him and devouring his every touch of the ball, there were some, among which I am happy to be, that said it's a long way to becoming a legend. There are other players of monumental status at this club: Sir Bobby Charlton, Georgie Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, RYAN GIGGS, Paul Scholes... It takes more just good skills to reach such a status, and Cristiano Ronaldo gave it all away to go play for Real Madrid.
I say we should remember him, thank him for the achievements at the club, but let him go. It was his decision and the people playing at Man Utd from now on shouldn't be compared to him - every player has his skills, some better, some worse, and in the end all that matters is the matches you win and the allegiance to the club's colours. I believe nobody will cry for him, the Reds have what it takes to win the Premiership. In fact I often disliked his selfish attitude on the field...

I never doubted that Man United would be better with Ronaldo. Tonight's performance proved that. Before Ronaldo left all of United's play seemed to go through him, but now they are more of a team. Rooney is far better being played up front, Berbatov seems more comfortable and Fletcher is playing like a man possessed, I really think they will make it 4 in a row this season.

Yeah Scholes has to realise that he is hopeless at tackling. He has been sent off umpteen times in his career for mistiming tackles.

The people who say Man Utd are nothing without Ronaldo do not know alot about football. Sure we are going to miss his 30-40 goals a season contribution, and all the money he made the club from merchandising but a team is not all about 1 man, and he was begining to think he was bigger than the club itself.
Rooney has started the season on fire, just hope that when he has his quite spell that he allways has that the midfield can chip in with a few goals, and if Berba and Owen can get 15+ goals each this season then I think we have a good chance of competing for trophies again this season.
Personally I would of liked S.A.F to use some of Ronaldo fee on a decent forward, someone like Benzema or Villa because i think to much will depend on the form of Rooney and how sick Owen gets. That's just my opinion and who am I to question/doubt Alex "GOD" Fergison

Manchester United have a good defence in Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic and O'Shea. They have good attacking options with Berbatov, Owen and Rooney. Where they lack real quality, however, is in the midfield. Manchester United may do well against teams like Tottenham and Everton, but they will struggle against the best teams in Europe with the midfield that they have. Giggs and Scholes are both getting old and lack the quality they used to offer. Anderson and Nani are raw talents and lack the experience and maturity in their game to be world-class. Finally Darren Fletcher - enough said. They may do well in the Premier League, but they don't stand a chance of winning the European Champions League.
