Have you ever had a problem with a rat in your house?

what is ur cat doing? being lazy? since we have 3 cats at home, we frightened the rats away. rats are afraid of cats so i suggest u start getting a cat. also a suggestion... buy rat killers or rat traps. i am sure there are a lot for sale.

in fact i seldom meet that problem,but during these days,my sister feel exhausted because of rats,i don't know she fears of rats so much.about 3 today ago,she phoned me and even cried!cause she found a rat in the drawer,i asked her to clam down and come out to have a walk,but she was so scared that stayed on the bed and cry.....i know now she is searching for another room,i hope she can get that,or she might be mad in such horrible condition

i was out of station for around a month and when i returned back.there was a spare cartoon in the ground floor where i used to keep old mewspapers.that next day when i went to keep all the piled up old newspapers i was shocked to see around 6-7 small newborn rats squeaking in the piles of shredded newspapers.i immediately called my brother and both of us took the cartoon out and kept it far off the house as we didn't want to kill them.

Although there are lots of rats in our house, we doesnt encounter serious problem with them because they didnt destroy any of our things nor eat them. We just dont hurt them, and let them go run around the house. Even if they didnt harm our things, we are still afraid because they can be a cause of serious illness.

Yup! But the rat in my house was up in my attic! At night I could hear it running back and forth above my room it kept me up most of the night. We finalyl had to set traps for them and I felt really bad :( This one time we had mice in our kitchen and my Dad and I had stakeouts where we set up a trap that wouldn't kill it and it worked a couple times but my Mom finally got fed up and used one of those sticky traps :( And then in the middle of the night she saw the mouse stuck and struggling to unstick itself and she woke up my Dad and wanted to save it. The cool part was she was able to save it! And then we let it go way away from our house.

The answer is yes my friend and i have to say that i was really scared, so i call my neighbour to come and help me and actually he burned the rat with hot water and then he stabbed the rat. My neighbour is a crazy dude. :/

Oh, yes!But that was when I was a kid. My fathers still stays in our old apartment where I lived as a kid. And it wasn't just one rat, but several big ones!As big as a kitten. The funny thing was, we had a black cat we named Jaguar. But because of the size of the rats, Jaguar rarely tried to hunt them down. I think, she's more afraid of them, than the rats being afraid of her She just let them pass to and fro in our living room. Really disgusting though. Maintaning a clean house didn't really help a lot. Because those pesky rats kept coming back. The apartment was already 20+ years old so there were hidden entrances that the rats were using. So, the only way my father could think of was to adopt the stray kittens he found in our neighborhood. These kittens were abandoned by their mother so there was no reason to worry of their owner looking for them. The moment that they were old enough to hunt, our rat problem was solved.

Some years ago my parents lived in a house where there were lots of mice. The mice were annoying, but we used to joke about it and my mother always said:"At least we don't have rats, because mice and rats never live in the same house" Unfortuneately my mother was wrong, and one day we discovered a big rat in the laundry room! At first my father thought that it was a big mouse, but when my mother saw it she wasn't in doubt, and she called a man who was supposed to help us get rid of the rats. We had only seen one rat, but he discovered a huge group of rats close to our house. They lived close to the kitchen door and we were afraid that the rats would suddenly appear in the kitchen, but we never found any rats there, they were "only" running around in the laundry room. I was afraid to pick up the laundry basket because I never knew if there were any rats among the clothes

Thank goodness I have never seen rats in the house. I have probably had hundreds of mice in the house that I have had to kill, there is really no other way of getting rid of them other than putting out traps. Apparently in Alberta Canada they have no rats. I saw a news program on television that they spotted a few rats and then hunted them down. They do a lot of damage and eat a lot of grain. I know there are rats in the city, whenever they tear down old buildings and neighbors seem to complain they have an infestation of rats as the displaced rats each shelter elsewhere. They can also spread disease. rats to rats.

we have rat problems very frequntly. so we have to either trap rats when they come or we kill them with a rat kill medicine. rats multiply very fast and if the first rat is not checked out then it becomes difficult to handle. so we keep a watch.

Rats definitely lets people hate them.I remember when i was a child I live in the country and always i can find rats in my room.It's really awful .At that time i am afraid of rats and when i saw this i usually cried and shouted.My Dad finally find a way to clear it use the tool or pills.I think rats maybe a little poor.Cause most of people want to kill them or keep away form them

When I was a children.There were some rats in our family.But I don't care about this,many person are afarid of rats and I don't.My family used all kind of ways to drove it away,fot example they put the rat posion on the apples that it was was sliced,if the rats ate the apples they would be killed. Some of rats were very smart,and they didn't ate the apple.whereupon,we take another measure to dealt with them,such as a mouse-trap and so on. As far as I am concerned.The radically way to get rid of the mice is keep the room that the mice always prowl clean……

Yes. But we have stray cats in our house. Even though they are not ours they help to drive rats away. Or our dogs also will scare them away.There are times we use traps like stick pads and they are effective though. We just clean our house regularly to prevent rats from breeding in any corners of our house. they are just so annoying and dirty, we all hate them. So don't let them invade our houses.

I will like to start like this, not everyone like to keep a pet at home and yes I havve had disturbances from rats in my house sometimes ago. What I simply did was ro set a trap with what it likes to eat say fish or something of that sort in a trap and when it goes eating the bait, it it ultimately caught in the trap. However, recently I did some blocking of entrances that ultimately gives the rodents entrance into the house.

I have rats before and I already have cats at that time. It a small type and crawl through the electrical wiring pipe on the ceiling. To catch one, we need to open the lid that covered the lights. If not it will bite the wire and cause more problem. I still remember lots of light in the house couldn't switch on due to this problem.

Hi,even i have an problem with rats earlier in previous house they use to mess up all the things in our kitchen & bedroom mostly during night times. one day as i got tired of these rats we brought an rat poision to kill those rats. There after we haven't had much problem with the rats.
