I believe each and everyone of us has a childhood memory.
Our favourite cartoon now and then. My son and I still
enjoy cartoons and animation movies very much! Recently
we watched Disney-Pixar latest animation movie 'UP'. it's
a great and entertaining movie.
We enjoyed cartoon very much because it take away our stress
and it bring happiness to us. I always think that those people
who knows how to enjoy watching cartoon, animation, comedy do
really know how to enjoy life and have fun!
I love to watch Doraemon, Mickey Mouse, Oggy & the Cockroaches,
Sponge Bob Square Pants, Mr. Bean(animation), Cinderella, Lion King
Lilo & Stitch, Happy Feet, Madagascar, Ice Age and many more.
What's your favourite cartoon and why? Do share your childhood
memories or your favourite cartoon character here, so that we
too can appreciate it

Hello
I think mine was the Flinstones not sure why I liked the whole bedrock thing I guess, Fred was funny, so was Barney maybe knowing I will never see a place such as this drew me to it even more, I will watch the Flinstones any time even now, to me that was one of the best cartoons back in the day, Scooby Doo was my second favorite, these are the two that stick out in my mind the most
thank you.

When my daughter was little i bought her the dolls and car that came out after the movie. I still have them in my collection. I bought the box set from a club store for $120. I looked online too and lowest was $150. Since i dont carry that amount of money around i took my grocery home then went back to the store and bought them.

Hi Iriene.
I too loved and love cartoons. Even now, when there is nothing nice on the Tele and I am really stressed, I would much rather watch a nice cartoon for 30 mins and feel calm and cheerful. When I was a kid I too loved Mickey Mouse.
Apart from Mickey and the bunch I loved Tom and Jerry, Bugs bunny, Tweety, Cinderella and Snow White.
If you ask me now, I would add The Lion King, Madagascar, Ice Age, The Prince of Egypt to that list.
These are my favourites. But there are many more in that list.

Dear cbeee3 and jhelaichie,
Glad to have both of you here. After observing 8 responses so far,
it seems Tom and Jerry is 'top' for favourite cartoons!
The best episode of Tom and Jerry was the 'Christmas' episode!
Tom and Jerry decided to be friends and give each other gift.
The elements of 'forgive and forget', exchange gift, caring and
hope really 'touches' me. Tom got cheese for Jerry.
Earlier on he left Jerry out in the cold - snowing, later he invited
him in and seated near the 'fire place'! So sweet!
I remembered 'Lion King', there is a review that the main theme song
was so 'forgettable' in the newspaper. Hahaha, later the same song was
the 'top hit' till now!...'Can you fell the love tonight'....
All the best and good night!

Dear de_angel,
You are just like my son..LOL. He too, because of cartoons,
we are attending the Sunday Church 2nd service around 10:45am
instead of 1st service at 8:45am because he want to watch his
favourite cartoons. At time we just slip in the video cassette
and record for him
My mum who is 76 years old enjoyed Mr. Bean (animation) very much!
I still remembered my son and my mum will be watching Mr. Bean
after Church Service at 11:30am on Sunday (if all of them
attended the 1st service which over about 10:30 am, reached
home around 11.00am).
Cartoon, cartoon, cartoon...it really captures the hearts of
children and adult alike
Cheers and have a wonderful (cartoon) weekend :)

My all time favorite was "Mickey Mouse." I can recall watching the program in black and white when we first got a television. This was way back in the late 1950's. I did watch cartoons when I was visiting our grandkids last month. One was the "Flintstones" which has always been a cute show. Our youngest grandkids are into watching "Baby Einstein" videos. They are amazing and I watch them regularly when I babysit our youngest grandbaby.

I love watching cartoon even asa grown up but I think the most significant for me is Voltes V, so I don't know if that will qualify as cartoon or not but that is the one I grow up watching and also Voltron and some cartoonized book like secret garden, peter pan. les miserables, etc...I noticed a lot of those who responded here said its Tom and Jerry and I can well believe that cause everytime I come across it, I find it highly entertaining... =)

I have to agree with most of the other posts. Tom and Jerry are one of the best. They never get tired of chasing each other around and some of the things they get into is just plain funny. I also like any of the Bugs Bunny cartoons, Fog Horn Leghorn, Road Runner, etc. I like to watch cartoons because they do not require any thinking to understand them and to enjoy them. Sometimes it is just nice to sit and laugh without having to really pay attention and concentrate on what is happening.

I still like the cartoons from my childhood such as The Flintstones, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, road Runner, etc. They were great cartoons and are still popular with kids today!
My kids also watch some of the modern cartoons, not sure what they are called but they are mostly Japanese I think. I think that these are complete rubbish compared to the classics that I grew up with, but maybe I am just too old for them...lol
They also like Spongebob and The Simpsons. These two cartoons I can handle watching as they are a better quality and they have been around for a few years and will be popular for many more I feel!

There is another cartoon similar to Tom & Jerry, a lot of
chasing...Oggy (a cat) chasing after the 3 cockroaches who always
eat up his food in the refrigerator...there is a huge dog at the
neighbour too. They do not talk, more expressions and sign language,
the chasing is great, we will wake up extra early just not to miss

As for me, when I was a child it was always Scooby Doo that I liked. I can't really give a great reason that I loved that cartoon so much, but I remember watching it nearly every day when I was a child. I actually still enjoy to be able to watch it on television today.
Now, however, the cartoon that I enjoy the most is Spongebob Squarepants. The reason for this is that it is appealing to both children and adults alike. I am able to sit down with my children and watch it and not feel like I am being subjected to something like punishment.
