The way I handle this situation is that I stay up and pull an all nighter and then just force myself back into my regular schedule. When I do this the first time, I'll be easily ready to go to bed by 9 or 10 the following night and I'll get up just fine at 6:30 or 7 when I need to get up to get ready to go out for the day. This isn't the most healthy way to do it though, I just know I can get by because I have no trouble sleeping ever.

For various reasons, some people get their biological clock upside down, say, for the night shift, or the flight lag, etc. They are beyond their will to be in such a status, which is harmful for the immune system, and likely to result in ill health. In your case, I would suggest you spend one weekend, and sleep longer until the normal get up time in the morning. If you feel like get up in the afternoon, use whatever ways available, including taking a little bit sleeping pills, keeping the curtain closed, and sleep on until the next morning. That helped me to get rid of the flight lag. Hope it works for you and you will become a new self, refreshed and powerful.

No caffine past 7 p.m., take a relaxing warm bath, or just set your alarm to a certain time every morning and start waking up to the alarm, which then your body will start to adjust to waking up at that time and soon will be able to go to bed earlier.

Hahaha, You are making day as night, night as day I think you have to adjust earlier before the last minute. Try to do something like reading a boring book to make you sleep earlier. Adjust it gradually and I think you have to start it by today......First thing is..even you slept at 5am, wake up at 9am and do something...so that the following evening you can sleep earlier. All the best, do keep in touch!

I have an ideal that might work...Go to bed like you normally do now. Now set the alarm clock for about 7am and when it goes off you have to get up..This will make you really tired and more than ready for bed around 10 that night. I did the same thing with my hubby. He had got laid off and we got into this rut of sitting up late and sleeping late. We had to change our routine. It worked for us..Let me know how it turned out for you..Have a good night...

You may have an unusual body clock. Start your sleep right by trying to wake up at around 6-7 in the morning. Don't think that you can't do it because you can. It's just mind over matter. When you always think that you will wake up by 7 in the morning you can and you will wake up by 7 without even knowing it. It's just a matter of getting used to it and also, when you have the will to change that bad sleeping habit.

I would suggest you move your bedtime up a half hour more each night. This will gradually get you ready for your new routine. This is what I did for my kids.
