Well, there is a limit where parents spend us and in turn, kids grow up and finally they give to parents and should never expect the parents to help them. This is really sorry to hear this. Probably you can advice him, so he can work on his responsibilities.

Personally this is not good at all, and if anyone should be concerned and worried it should be you and the rest of the family, and could lead to further problems down the road. Somehow someone needs to STEP IN and say something to your Mom and make her see the damages being done before it eventually leads to something worse as well.

I know that in families there are often many issues between members, please do not waste your energy on this situation, just leave it alone and and be thankful that you can take care of your self and your family. Any negative feelings or judgments you have will only contribute to family unrest. Blessings

Woooow. I hope my saying this doesn't bother you, but your brother is really loser. I am 19 and still in college so I don't support myself now, but I do go to school and have a job. I'm like half his age. I will be supporting myself when I'm out of school. My mom would never just let me bum off her like that. I mean, if I was truly in need of help, of course she would help me get back on my feet. But I couldn't just spend a couple years hanging around.

This does not sound good at all. Do not focus too much on your brother it'll just make you more bitter. It's something to be said for the child that has his own. It's gives you a sense of pride to know your handling your own and nobody can take that away from you!
