Friends, Many of us love cooking and experimenting in kitchen. I am so found of experimenting with food, that my mom used to call me kitchen scientist.
How many of you have your own recipe. Let us share one each over here. It should be original..
If you have cooked rice left after lunch and you want to use it, here is a very good recipe-
put cooking oil [1 spoonful] in the frying pan and fry some soybean [balls not beans]. Fry it and add salt and spices of your choice, then mix onion and curry leaves garlic and ginger [paste] and mix rice. Put all this in a cooker with half cup water and leave on stove for half minute. your ready-ready dish is ready. serve with sauces.

I'll be doing just that (experimenting) this Friday, I intend to cook a seafood risotto with prawns and scallops, spring onions, leek, and nuts, plus a mixture of coriander, lemon grass, garlic, and ginger.
I'll come back and let you know how it turns out.

Back to the drawing board. It was tasty and all, but the risotto completely overpowered the Thai herbs so it just came out tasting like a normal seafood risotto.

Its not so that I did not intend to reply your comments, rather I was waiting for few fresh recipes to come downs..anyways. Thanks for your responses.
Today I was in a bit of hurry to finish my kitchen works, and I could not prepare omelet because, its a festive season here in India for Hindus. So I mixed a cup of rice with 1 liter milk and let it boil till it was thick, Then I mixed sugar and dryfruits and my shortcut sweet pudding was ready. Friends try this, you will love it. By the way, this is not my invention, We call this dish "Kheer" or Pysam in India. I have just modified the way of cooking.

That is a really unique mixture. I would have never thought of garlic and ginger both in one recipe. And I haven't seen soybeans for sale in a store before. Then again, I guess I have never looked for them. : )
Here is a simple recipe that I make from time to time. For ingredients, you will need: 2 whole cooked and diced potatoes (or 2 cans of potatoes), 1 can green beans, 1 can corn, 1 can carrots (or you can cook your own), 2 cans of cooked tomatoes (again, you can cook your own if you like), 1 pound of ground beef.
Put all of the vegetables into a Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. At the same time, place your hamburger in a pan. Fry the hamburger until brown, then drain. Pour the hamburger into the vegetables and cook for hours. It tastes delicious. You can also put it all into a crockpot if you prefer.

We are pure veggies. My hobby is experimenting new recipes coz. my son don't want the same every day. Recently i tried mixed veg. masala as a side dish for chappati and he simply loved it and the next couple of days also he opted for the same. it is very simple and easy to cook and fast to cook. Cook the vegetables of your choice like beans, peas, potato, carrot, cluster beans, brinjal and double beans with a little salt and turmeric in a pressure cooker. take one tomato, ginger 1/2". garlic some pods, green pepper (chillies) according to your taste, 1 big onion and paste it a mixie. Put 2 teaspoons of cooking oil in a pan, put some cumin seeds in it, when it splutters, put some curry leaves and the paste and fry for a minute adding little salt for the paste. Add the cooked veg. and saute for a couple of minutes and garnish with coriander leaves.
If you try this, drop me your feedback and comments. cheers. Have a nice day
