Hi Ganesh,
By holding the name of Ganesh you don’t want to kill the rats. Good but it is difficult to get rid of rats if you believe in that way. Once we got a medicine and the seller told us that it won’t kill rats but they will run away and we believed the same but sadly it killed the rats. So believing those people will be foolishness. I think you can use the trap box which is available in market. In Delhi people are using the trapping methods and after catching the rats in traps they releasing them in a far away place.
Have a nice day with free of rats

Yes, I remember now. We used sticky paper when we several rats in the house. It works they are caught in the paper and still alive. You can just throw the outside.

all i can think of is those ultrasonic emitters-the noise makes them leave.
but i imagine that hurts a bit too,so that's probably out.

This was my thought,too...I've never had rats around my place (that I'm aware of!) so would like to know if these repellent gadgets actually work and just make the critters go elsewhere..without harming them...like they say, prevention is better than a cure!

Hi Ganesh44!
Waw, rats is pest as for me, but when connected to a religion, it's a hard things to handle, anyway, i can olny give two suggestion for you.
First Clean up the environment, so it's not only your house and room, usually rat likes to live in dirty environment, and in the tunel, so clean it if you can
Secondly, buy a rat trapper that design not for the kill, but just making them being trap in the cage ...
I hope by doing this, you can handle the problems, or at least reduce it

If you intend to save the life of these rodents who are creating a nuisance in your home, then just put few mousetraps in your house. When they get trapped, take a long drive to the woods and release them there. But you must make sure that they be dispose of some distance away from your home so they won't be able to return.

hello Ganesh44,
if you don't like to kill them yourself, i guess the best thing that you can do is to have a pet cat in your house. this way, the rat will go away and never bothers you again.

That is also my problem. I already did general cleaning of our house a lot of times. And still, the rats are around our house. They just ran here and there and sometimes scare my kids. They ruin some of our things. I don't want to kill them simply because I am against animal cruelty.

Almost anything will take time but we found a product that is safe for the environment and animals. We have woods behind our home and the rats come to eat the dogs food. Plus all the neighbor animals come through our yard. Therefore we didn't want to put out poison. We've seen that fiasco, no way. It is called shake-away rodent repellant and it is made with bobcat and fox urine. It is a dry powdery product and it doesn't smell like similar products. You sprinkle it out and the little bugger are afraid and look for a new place to hang out. You have to keep it sprinkled but it sure makes a difference.
Good luck.

Hello my friend Ganesh44 Ji,
Well, I used 'Rat-Trap' and after they were caught, I used to leave them in jungles far away from our homes. You may try out this way. Happy Deepavali.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Maybe you shoud ask a wise person of your religion what it should be done in those cases. As for me, in my culture, I´d be happy to kill the rats. There are more than there should be in the world.
I wouldn´t be able to live in a house with lots of rats.
I hope you discover a way that suits you. Happy posting!

Hi Ganesh, I don't think it is easy to get rid of rats without killing them, it would be better if you call a person who traps the rats and tell him to leave them far away from your house, for the time being you may get rid of rats but you may face the same problem again and again. Remember one thing that God lives in your soul too not only in rats or any other animals, you have to realise that whatever we are doing, or whatever is happening with you is only happening with God's permission. It is God the almighty who is making us do all these things. So, as well as I am concerned I think it is nothing wrong in killing a rat when it is harming you.

Hi Ganesh! You are very kindhearted.I think you should make anything eatable hidden. And try to get a cat and rat might fear it.You go to find out if there are holes which rats can move though.Good day!

Someone told me to put down moth balls to get rid of rats. We never had much of a problem with them outside of the occasional rat that would hit the garden and eat everything in sight. I am not a fan of killing things like mice and rats so I would opt for a "no kill" type of trap then release them elsewhere.

You can use an ultrasonic rat repellent. It uses sound to tell the rats this is not the place to be while not hurting the rodents. It tells them that they need to leave and find shelter elsewhere. They do not like the sound, but you cannot hear it.
*
You shouldn't use it if you have pet rats, hamsters, or rabbits, as it will hurt their ears and they can't walk away.
*
You should shop around for the best price on this gadget.

just buy a lot of cat and put it anywhere on your house, i think this is the best way to avoid mouse to come to your house, one more think is you don't have to kill the mouse so there is no sin for that all the job has taken by the cat. cat killing mouse is natural of life isn't it.

Well a simple method is using a box rat trap. You can catch only one at a time though. Multiple traps need to be set up for many rats. It usually costs Rs.30-50 per box. What I used to do was set up the box and hang small bits of roti. Keep the traps over night. The trap in no way could kill them unless they are size of cats. The rats have to go in head first and the trap closes behind them. Once caught I usually set them free near the beach. I'm glad you care so much about rats even though they are such a nuisance.
