Never thought maintaining a right posture would really help a lot. I had a 3 friends now who are scoliotic from having bad postures.. one of it is inborn.. one has develop back pain and it kinda worries me coz I tend to have a bad posture habit. Hope you guys would do the same too coz once diagnosed on it, its really kinda fatal coz what`s affected most is your spinal cord that is connected to your brain.

It can be fatal if your nerves are crushed by the twist of your bones or if the ribcage punctures the lungs. I think the ones I mentioned are possible with 30+ degrees curves. I have scoliosis, it was genetic and I was the unlucky one who got it. My right shoulder always hurts. Physical therapy hurts but it helps a lot because my muscles feel relaxed after each session.

I have severe scoliosis. Once you are inflicted with a problem, it is easy to spot it in someone else. I once saw a young girl whose feet were leaning to the outside, just like mine. I spoke to her mother about what I saw and urged her to get the girl checked out. I warned, "You don't want her to end up like me, do you?" Well, she did have her checked and the doctor could find no problem. I responded, "I'm sorry if I misled you. But, I am glad it was checked. Because, she is just at the age when spinal problems start to develop. And, this is the only time something can be done about it."
