What do you think of Twitter? How has it helped ?....

Hi Kiran! It is good that you are making good use of Twitter to promote yourself and your articles and you are getting success. I do not use this platform much and due to some personal reasons would not like to use it.

I've been a member for almost a month now, but I still haven't figured out what it does and how members can benefit from it, and why the site has become so famous that even Obama has an account. Even my favorite local FM radio station has a twitter account which they announce in their programs regularly. I hope someone can provide you/us an answer on how this site can be useful and significant.

I use twitter to build relationships with people to get me to things I may need in my personal life or business life and use it as a barter system. Since joining twitter I have met people that has taught me how to write product reviews and how to get free stuff to review. I developed a relationship with a group of people who were planning a cruise convention and through the relationship. I was able to go on the cruise as their photographer and had the cruise completly paid for. But for twitter to work it is kind of like here you just have to get on there and start talking to people and building relationships. The one thing I would encourage you not to do is join twitter and then only send messages for your stuff, that turns people on twitter off. Get on there and build relationships and then when someone asks what you do, you can share your opportunities

I love twitter! I use it to get traffic to my different websites. but it is also because of twitter that I have gotten some great photo jobs as well as a free cruise. you just need to get on there and talk to people and find out what people are looking for and if you can give them what they need then it can be a success

hi kiran, i also agree with u... twitter can provide a good source of traffic in ur blog or website. also in ur referral links... and it is also nice to follow someone else in twitter, like celebrity & singers.. they can provide u more update in their life especially if they have new projects like movies & new albums & stuff.. ahihihi... its very nice in twitter to just browse around & sometimes discover that more nice info in there... thanks for sharing this discussion... have a nice day and happy mylotting... ^_^

I am using Twitter but it hasn't helped me much though. Perhaps, I'm not maximizing it's use. But, you may learn from those who use Twitter as a tool in helping them generate traffic for their site. I am planning to do the same and use Twitter to its full potential. :)

I like twitter but I must admit I feel it is somewhat a fad. I feel that about a lot of social networking sites also. I like that I can have a fast post and it must be short and to the point. Speaking of having a tweat I have not done that in a few days and I feel you should try to tweat everyday if at all possible. Thanks for sharing this discussion and happy mylotting to you as well.

I joined twitter a month ago, but I found nothing helpful with it. I totally don’t know what it can do for me. I’m glad to know it helps you get views to your articles. I also tried it for my blog, but I did not find it worked. I suppose maybe I don’t have many followers also I don’t follow many people. I keep my twitter account to see if it can help me in the future. Wish I can learn from this topic too. Best regards.

I have a Twitter account, but I found it rather boring. There wasn't anything that great about it that I found. I use facebook more often than the Twitter account I have. Still maybe in the future it might have more features added on that might entise me to be more active on the account. Sorry that I haven't been much help.
