Do you have many good friends or few friends? Do u even have a friend?

Hi, hiddenwing. This is a very good discussion. Hmmm..When i first saw your question, i had to think who are my friends. Well...technically, i have friends. But i do not have real friends, i think. I am the person who always stays at home and seldom hang out with my friends once i have my baby. I did have good friends before, but we seldom contact each other now. I think i am the person who likes to be alone. Ok, that's my problem. I do think we need friends because when we have some difficulties, friends play an important role to help and comfort us. Sometimes when i am down, i can't even find a friend to talk to. It's pity.

I only have a couple of friends and that is enough for me. I have tried to be friends with alot of people but it never did work out. they used me and was never there for me like I was for them.

I had to think about this question for a while. I came to the conclusion that I have many good friends on whom I could call if I ever needed anything but no really close friends. I just realized this tonight while I was talking to my daughter on the phone. She is probably the nearest thing to a close friend that I have, but because she is family, there are still a few things I can't discuss with her.

I have many many friends, but I have few friends indeed! I always wonder why people are just not that friendly!

I have friends that I have carried through my life, i.e..friends from high school and we keep in contact through facebook. I have neighbors that I have met, and have become good friends with to discover we were actually in the same first grade classroom together. I am 44 years old, and I still have these friends. Do I have friends that I can confide in? Discuss love and relationships with? Go shopping together or visit each other at least once a week...no. We are all busy with our families, our jobs and we are lucky if we get to have a great conversation at least once a year. I have met and made friends at work, but a job switch causes you to lose contact. I have always been told if you have three good friends you indeed a very fortunate person. I have two best friends...Mark (whether I am his best friend, of that I am unaware but I still consider him my best friend) My other best friend is Gina. We met through the mail when I was pregnant with my second child twenty years ago, and I hold her friendship very dear to my heart! She lives in another state, but I try to visit and see her when I am able. I am a very blessed woman to have such a friend in my life.
