Here in the philippines. we have locally two big giant stations, ABS-CBN 2 and GMA7. I do watch both stations which every provide the better program. I am not leaning on one over another. which ever provides the better soap, the better news, the better shows, that will be my favorite.
I know in US there are many competing stations. i am not just familiar with the stations on the US. So what are your favorite stations from your country. what are the shows you usually watch everyday.
My favorite as of now is May BUkas Pa (There is still hope) in english, on news i just mainly switch on two stations, on noontime show i do watch both stations too, then i watch in the primetime Bubble Gang, and etc.
What about you. Do you watch shows only on your favorite stations.

I watch the programs that appeal to me regardless of which station they are aired. I switch channels in between commercials, I do this particularly with the Sunday variety shows ASAP and SOP, and the evening news. I don't watch soaps, they're sometimes so heavy that I feel like carrying the whole world after watching. I also like watching some shows on Channel 5.

yeah he is the friend of Marc Nelson and referred to as the bald one. but actually kidding aside he is quite good looking. he sounds cute when he speaks in tagalog as he does not know tagalog much and he find it hard to express himself in tagalog. it is just hilarious the way he speak in tagalog. and also if you like travel or those that show different landmarks, i like the "Balik-bayan". that is such a cool show. love it.

I also like thrive and gabay sa kalusugan. But lately I have been watching Landmarks and find it really interesting. They feature different places here in the Philippines and I learn a lot from their show. They shot every location using HD camera which I think is really cool!:)

I do have certain tv stations and shows that I watch. My favorite shows come on different nights and I always plan to watch them ahead of time. With supper we watch NCIS on A&E Channel, and then is the local channels which are NBC,ABC,CBS. In the mornings I always watch the Golden Girls on Hallmark Channel. Otherwise I dont watch a lot of TV during the day. Have a nice Sunday and keep smiling...

when i was child. goldengirls was shown each night here in the philippines. that was way back in the 80's. they were so popular here in the philippines. and 2 years ago. i found a book sale about $1 only. and i bought the biography of one of the actress in goldengirls. i think it was about betty white. i was not able to read it all cause i got bored to read her life story from when she started her acting in the 80's till the latest story before she published the book.

The Golden Girls is one of my favorites. I can be kinda down in the dumps and watch that show and start laughing before it is done and said. I just love those girls and they always are in to something. Have a good day...

those girls were hilarious. and i love the script, like they were acting so natural like things i see on the show like the things we see on real life and yet they made it so funny. the script writer was really great to come up with those funny lines. and the girls blended so well and made the show so awesome.

yeah. abs cbn shows are great. but the other network has improved a lot too and made a big competition to abs cbn. but anyways, abs cbn has able again regain their dominance in rating i think. i like their shows cause they are more realistic unlike in the other network they are more fictions.

My preferred tv stations are ABS and GMA because they offer most of quality shows and soap operas here in the Philippines. I have been watching Eat Bulaga since grade one, so I think it is my favorite noon time show.LOL. Then lately I'm hooked up with other channels such as QTV11 and ETC. They have new concept of television formats, they have different shows that you don't regularly see on these two giant stations. I like Bubble Gang too! They are all funny.

i like QTV too. i think it is better than studio 23. don't you think. as we know QTV is another channel of GMA7 while studio 23 is for ABS CBN. i like the cooking shows in QTV. i forgot the name of that show. i think there are two cooking whos in QTV. one is the show of Sam, the chinese girl or korean girl i think. then i like the "ANG Pinaka". which gives the list of top ten of whatever topic they have. Like the the top TEN philippine commercials of all time, the TOP TEN philippine horror films of all time. and so i find their program very entertaining, informative and fun actually.

yeah it seems that Marian rivera is soaring high still in her careers since she have been in gma7. she is now the reigning star of gma replacing angel locsin. ha ha. i do watch it sometimes and it is okay. not bad not boring and not dragging. but i do tend to watch the other station sometimes . so i don't actually stick to same show actually.

It is channel 7 here. I think it is CBS but I don't really pay attention, during the day I have All My Children, One Life to Live, Operah and the View on while I work and the Channel 7 news. Sometimes I will switch over to channel 2 and watch the Rachael Ray show. On the weekends, I like to watch the Foodnetwork, but now my husband is watching football on Sundays so I will not get a lot of Food Network time in again until football season is over. , That is Ok though I like to watch the Chicago Bears play.

so channel 7 there is CBS station and Channel 2 there is other network . are they the ones of the rating games, just local Channel 2 and 7 here who are dominating the rating games. though the local ones here is different from your station except for the number.
I have not much chance to see the view. i think it is not really shown here. mostly i can watch other english shows. but not the The View.

yes i think that bubble gang is so popular that it has been on top of the rating on its time slot for years now . and the kapamilya can't really refute that. i believe most kapamilyas watch bubble gang. as the cast are so funny.

I prefer Fox and NBC, they have cool shows! Here in the Philippines? I stick with ABS-CBN still, I just don't feel comfortable listening to Mike Enriquez reporting the news! now, if we only have shows here that are not superheroes or drama type, these "telenovela's" s*ck!

yes i don't like this superheroes. like the channel 7 is not experimenting and taking risk . they just want to stay on what they know will be hit for kids.

Hi HotSummer,
I am here in Malaysia. My house does subscribe to Astro Channel. It has plenty of channels to watch.
My favourite channel is Asian Food Channel(AFC),AXN Channel and Astro AEC.
AFC channel is talks about foods around the world and it also have some cooking session whereby you can get some cooking/baking recipes.
Astro Aec is more on drama serials and some entertainment programs.
I love to watch Singapore Drama played at 7pm from Monday-Friday.
I love to watch Singapore Drama as their Mandarin is easier for me to understand.
Singapore is the place where I picked up my Mandarin language.
Axn channel is also a good entertainer channel. I love watching 'the amazing race','fear factor' and ' CSI'.
SOmetimes I do hope I will have more time to watch all the TV programs.

Hi Hotsummer,
You can always change bit here and there for the ingredients.
As for me, when I saw some nice and easy recipes, I will jot it down and try to get the ingredients ready. If I can't find some of the ingredients, I will try to change with others and create somesort like my own recipe.
Some even turns out good.
So what do you like to cook lately? I am a spicy food lover.
I love to cook spicy food for my family.

Over here in the united states there are literally thousands of TV stations like FOX NBC MSNNBC Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, the Disney channel, Discovery Channel, History channel, there are like 100's of movie channels, Comedy Central, G4. My personal favorites would be Comedy Central (humor based TV) and G4 (Tv based on electronics and video games and such) I watch them all the time

we have some of those you mentioned over here also if you subscribed to cable tv companies. one of our tv stations abs cbn, have their cable company, the SkyCable, the most popular cable company to subscribe and offer more channels but more expensive though. but i don't think the channels here are as many as yours over there. as you mentioned you have thousands of TV stations like that. i guess you are all subscribed to a cable company also so that yuo are able to get many tv stations. cause if we are not subscribed to a cable company we won't be able to watch those english tv stations only the local tv stations.

it is not clear which is better one. but i think the competition really helps. cause it is not good when there is only one source of good shows. the more shows from different stations the better. so we have wider range of choice of shows to choose from.

My preferred tv station is Lifetime, BET, TV1, and MTV. I like to watch action movies, drama, comedy, suspense, and horror too. Sometimes I watch HBO, Starz, Showtime, and Cinemax also. But really it depends on what is on and if it is interesting enough for me to watch it.

I am a kapuso, i don't like to watch anything about ABS-CBN and it's affiliate station. Im happy that GMA 7 is leading in ratings and they are way ahead in the peoples trust. Although i am a kapuso i would also like for the other station like CS9 and TV5 to be successful and kick ABS-CBN in the curves till they get out of business...Kiddin. Anyways i missed watchin John and Kate Plus 8 in Discovery Travel and Living i hope they show the new episode soon.

nice to hear from a KAPUSO. yes i think that GMA is going well in ratings too. and i think that GMA started this KAPUSO thing and the other network made up their KAPAMILYA thing . and so KAPUSO started this name tag. and i love the KAPUSO tag than the KAPAMILYA. it sounds really better. i am KAPUSO. but i do watch both channel though i am a professed KAPUSO. cause sometimes i do like the shows of other network too.
