I personally don't think it is ok to wear a thong bikini to a public pool. The reason being their are small kids that go to public pools and a thong is not for kids to see. It is showing almost all of your butt. Which is pretty much public nudity anyway you look at. When kids go to a public pool they want to have a good time and not look at someones butt. The kids and parents should be respected and thong bikinis should not be allowed. Thong bikins can also affend others as well.

i cant see what the fuss is about, thongs are decent from the front view, ok the back is bare but its not offensive, councils are just prudish about this, i would like to wear a thong at the local baths if i were allowed.

As long as you are having a good body as well as a good butt, there is no harm in wearing a thong bikini. The small kids are not going to look at some ones butt. It is only when, a shapeless woman, with a large butt wears a thong bikini, it looks quite ugly.In Australia, there is a beach, where both the men and woman go topless, and there are children who are quite comfortable with that fact. I have also seen the same thing happen in Goa, India.

Hi Rameshkumaar,
I agreed with you. We are in modern society, topless at the beach is a very common thing in abroad.
Only in asia country, we hardly can see people topless at the beach.
Kids are innocent and their eyes won't purposely stare at lady's butts. They went to a beach/pool for playing and swimming. That's the main activity to be done at pool/beach.

There is definitely something not right about wearing a thong bikini to the public pool or public beach. It is one thing to wear it in your private pool, but not in public. I am uncomfortable with seeing someone else's butt. There is just something not right about that.

I don't understand the problem with a thong bikini! I'm not religious, but I believe that God is our Creator. I believe that we are created in God's Likeness and Image. In other words, "Humans are God's creations, and He has not made a mistake in a very long time! This being the case- Who are we to criticize God's work? Who gives us the authority to make a judgment on whether God made woman's Butts beautiful or ugly? Why do those who deem themselves Godly take such great pleasure in tarnishing God's work?

I have seen this done and I agree it is inappropriate. Wearing something like that in public doesn't send the right messages in most societies. It tells me, "This woman is loose." This type of clothing is for the bedroom or in private. Little kids likely wouldn't care one way or the other. Teenage boys and a percentage of adult men would find it quite distracting. My family went to the beach once and there was a young attractive woman there whose baseball cap covered more than her bathing suit. I told my wife that just because I did a double take doesn't mean I approve. I women want respect don't dress like that in public.

I think thong bikinis should be saved for private swimming pools. Thong bikinis are just a little bit too revealing. You might as well not be wearing anything at all. Beaches and public pools are places that entire families are swimming. It is not a good influence on young children to have to see the bikini thay someone is almost wearing!

I do not think it is right to wear a thong to a public swiomming pool either. I do not want to see a man's or a woman's butt cheeks hanging out. It is not for kids to see either.

But Who Wants To Wear Is My Question .. If you Think It Is Indeed Right Who Can Stop You .. You Decide For yourself, How Can You Decide For others ? .. Don't Worry About Things That you Don't Have Control Over .. Bother About the Things You Can Do To Contribute To Society In A Positive Way .. Thanks For Reading Through .. Do Take Care ..

It is very improper to wear thong bikini a public pool. Certainly it will offend me to see anyone wearing such skimpy thing in a public pool. It is so indecent to display your butt to people around the public pool. I think it disrespects other people. In fact even in private pools I would not want to seem women in skimpy bikinis. I hate people who do not know how to behave themselves. What kind of example does it give to children?

Hi Tuckersheri,
Since it is a bikini,so I don't see they point why it can't be wear to a public pool.
A girl like to show off her nice figure and most of them are wearing bikini to a pool/beach.
When I been to Singapore Sentosa, siloso beach, I saw many girls are wearing bikini walk around the beach, have a sunbath at the beach. The beach is a public place, not only adults will go there. Some parents will bring their small kids to the beach too.
As long as not naked at the beach/pool, it should be fine.

Personally, I don't like to see people in a public pool wearing sexy swim-wears especially if their are a lot of children round. In this manner, we are exposing kids to worldly things. And at a young age, they should not be facing such issues because they will still have a hard time understanding why some people are behaving that way. `

If the public pool is for adults only then why not? If you can carry wearing thongs then flaunt it. But generally public pools are for general patronage and it's very shocking to see someone wearing a thong. And people might not get their swim but oogle at you. LOL
Anyways, I have not seen someone wearing a thong bikini in public pools or beaches.

I agree. There is something not right about this. There needs to be stricter dress codes at public pools and lakes. I have no problem with people wearing what they want, but in public around children there needs to be more discretion and respect.
