Are you already planning where you are going this christmas and what food you are going to prepare. I for one do start to have plans. Hopefully that we will have lots of food on the coming christmas and lots of visitors too. i don't know if we are going to visit our relatives and if they are the one going to visit us here in my place.
Basically christmas is not a special event for me being an adult and since we don't have any kids around our home and so it is quite boring. and also mostly my relatives are in other countries, there are only few relatives that actually we can visit in our country. so i will just try to be happy during these seasons.
Do you have plans you wish to fulfill before this christmas come. I wish that i have already bought the phone i am wishing to buy before christmas comes.

Yes, I also started planning for Christmas and I hope it will be done. I'm planning to take my baby to his father because he is working far from us and we are separated. I want my son to be with his dad since they are not seeing each other for a long time..

I've been thinking a lot about what is going to happen this year since I'm not living at home anymore really and because I'm working in the city that I live in. I won't be off for about a month's time so I'm trying to come up with how in the world I'm going to make the holidays this year work. I'll probably leave the day before Christmas eve or leave on Christmas eve morning to go home. I still haven't decided yet but I'll have to decide soon, it's approaching very fast.

rosepedal, why is gift shopping scary? That is my favorite part of the whole holiday. I love thinking about each person and trying to find that perfect gift for them. Now granted some of them are hard than others so that is why I start so early

jenny..It is scary to me because of the finance problem that we are in right now. Don't get me wrong I love to shop for others. I get so excited to hunt for that prefect gift. I have to bite my nerves in the butt and get a job to cover the cost of the gifts. Thanks for asking and have a nice day..

Yes, my two youngest kids and I will be going to Oregon to my parents' house for the holidays. Both of my sisters and their kids live up there, so if my brother and my oldest son and his wife can make it up, we'll all be together. As for food, Mom will probably make most of it, a beef roast, roast turkey, stuffing, yams, peas, salad, fruit salad, homemade apple and pumpkin pies, sugar free cheesecake. I'll probably make spiced nuts -- yummy! I may smoke a turkey for them while I'm there. Oh, and they'll invite the neighbors too, so there will really be a houseful of people.
I'd advise you that if you're going to be alone during the holidays, have a huge potluck with all your friends who are in the same situation and make it a happy day for all of you. Sing karaoke, watch a special movie, play cards or cribbage or Monopoly. Make it a good time for all.

It's like that with us too hotsummer, the only relatives that I have near me is my parents. My brothers and aunt are all 4 hours drive to the north of us. My uncle is about 8 hours from us. The only plans I have is to spend time with my parents and cook them a nice Christmas dinner. This year I hope to give them some money to shop with or give as gifts to the others because last year they weren't able to do so and it really made my mom depressed big time. Maybe this year I can make her happy by doing this. This Christmas, think about me and my family and I'll be thinking about you and yours - wishing each other a very Merry Christmas!!

your relative are so far away from you considering the nearest is 4 hour drive. that would be a very far place. specially that 4 hour drive is without any traffic yet. i hope you and your mom will have great time this christmas

We basically do the same thing for Christmas every year. we go to my mom's house for Christmas Eve and we usually have dinner at a local family restaurant. Then we go to my sister in laws house for Christmas day after we open our gifts and stuff here at home. I don't have to do any work for the Christmas holiday. I am the one that does Thanksgiving so I get to do the work on that holiday. But I basically fix the same thing every year, and I have it down to a science so it is really easy for me.

Well, I host Christmas in my family. It's not a huge group of people, only about 15-20, so it's manageable. Everyone comes over and I cook a big meal. Most of the time I cook a ham, sausage, a turkey and lots of sides and appetizers. The food is a very important part of our get together. We play games and exchange gifts. It's a good time. I don't even worry to much about cleaning up, that can wait until the next day. Usually when everyone leaves, I just collapse on the coach and sleep until the next morning.

i think that Christmas is big in US. i mean that you usually prepare lots of delicious foods like turkey which are not easy to prepare. here though we do cook but our food are not that delicious and expensive as you guys prepare over there. hope you will not get tired on christmas.

Yes I have started making plans for Christmas, not so much the food, but the presents, I have already begun shopping and working on the items I am going to make.
I am also single and don't have children, but Christmas is a very special time for me. I love decorating for it buying gifts for family and friends, baking. I usually end up making a ton of cookies and breads. I love all the parties and everyone seems to be in a great mood

hotsummer you need to make the decision your self it is not going to be boring. I could sit at home and be bored because some of my family lives too far away.
Instead I bake for my neighbors for my co-workers for friends at church and family near and far.
It is me who makes the holiday exciting and not boring. If we rely on others to do this for us we are going to be disappointed

This coming Christmas I'm going to have parties with friends and spend the Christmas day with people whom I love. I am also saving up my money so that I could buy them nice presents. I always have fun shopping for presents. I especially like shopping for kids because it really lifts up my mood when I look for good toys or other kid stuff.

Personally I don't have plans for Christmas yet. I normally do my shopping around the month of November and early December. I also haven't planned what we're going to do, whether to visit my hometown or just stay where we are. But I have already started planning for the company Christmas party, as my department is the one in charge of this event. I hope I can pull a big event this Christmas so the employees will be happy.

Hello Hotsummer,
I am not Christian but I do celebrate Christmas before. We did exchange presents with family.
I like it when Christmas is around the corners. All the shopping malls will decorated with Christmas tree and many beautiful decorations.
For this year, I don't have any special plan for Christmas. Maybe we will just go for a buffet dinner on Christmas on Christmas eve. I hope to get some Christmas presents for my children.
How will you decorate your house. Do you like to have a Christmas tree at home? I never buy any Christmas tree before. Maybe I feel like want to buy a Christmas tree this year. I hope you can buy the phone you want in real soon. Wishing you here Merry Christmas in advance.

I don't have any plans set in stone as to what i am doing this year for christmas, i just only hope it turns out better than my christmas last year did! Last year was to be my first christmas with my boyfriend (my first christmas with ANY boyfriend and loved ones to spend it with in quite sometime) But we would up getting a really bad snowstorm the day before, so travel was impossible. I was really quite upset, even though it wasn't anyones fault. I had just had such high hopes for getting to spend christmas with my loved one and his family, instead i got to sit at home and try not to let them hear my tears of disapointment as i listened in while they opened all the gifts i had sent up.
At least i had my little brother (who is also my roomate) here with me. Otherwise it would have just been me and my cats, and that would have been even more depressing.
I just hope this year i am able to actually be with him, and be with his family.

Hi Hotsummer,
I don't celebrate christmas and nothing special for my christmas days. During the month of December, I always back to my hometown with my husband and my son.
We will have a short holiday back to my hometown, enjoys the food there and spent out precious times with my family members.
During my dating time, I used to out for dinner during Christmas day. Buy a gift for exchange. But now, no more such practice.
A simple day to go and EveryDay can be a Special Day to me!!

hope that you will have a great christmas this time. i just hope the whole country here will have good christmas as i remember last christmas there were many news of accidents during christmas or when christmas was just few days away. and i would hate to see people suffer and had problems while christmas was just around the corner. i think last year there was storms that killed some people in some places. it was really sad news to hear those things during special holidays.
