I remember last time when i go to watch the movie "G.i Joe", because i watched this movie after it has been while, they use a smaller room for it.Actually, the size of it is not a serious matter to me,what annoy me is that the size of the seat is small, and the person behind me keep kicking my chair. Then,i getting angry and ask him to stop kicking my chair. However,he only stop for a while and started kicking again. Then i get annoyed and warned him to stop.At the end of the movie,he kicked my chair really hard and run away. =.= So any other action that annoy you during watching movie in the cinema? Care to share your experience?

my height is a bit short and when i sit back seat and when a few long people sit in front then i am not able to see the movie.Actually the screen is divided in two sides between being the head of the person. so, I cannot enjoy the movie, but if a short person sits in front of me,I feel very happy.Yeah, I can enjoy the movie now.

Actually,i will go for a bigger cinema if it is available. In my hometown, there is a old cinema which the seat doesn't have much difference in high.Even i am tall i still have chance to block by someone else who sit in front of me.However, when i go to another cinema which just build recently,i found that the person in front of me can't block me unless he is freaking tall.

For me, its those people who are so inconsiderate to not switch off their mobile phone and they just answer the phone when it rings and some even talk so loudly like as if they are on the street or at home. Also, I can't stand people who talk and laugh so loudly and openly when the movie is showing as well as those couples who bring along their children and their children misbehave by making hell lots of noise that people sitting around them feel so damn annoyed and distracted.

The one annoying thing is the sound of opening any packaging. People enjoy smuggling tidbits or food into the cinema and though they may be careful and try to cover it, the sound is still there.

I don't like people talking in the theatre behind me. It is really annoying and something that I really struggle with. I sometimes will move my seat in a theatre if I have annoying people sitting behind me. People who do not obey the rules of the theatre and are either talking to their friends or on a cell phone.

To add on,what more annoying is when they are discussing the movie flow and storyline behind you. They does give a lot of spoiler sometimes.

I hate that to. Or if someone has seen the movie before and going with someone else...then they end of saying stuff like "watch this part..." OMG I wanna turn around and say shut the #@$#@ up!

Yeah, I would not be happy at all if they were talking about what is going to be happening in the movie. Some things should just be kept sacred and not revealing the plot lines in a movie should be one of them. Especially when you are at the movies.

we're the same there. i wonder if these people ever had their chair kicked while watching a movie. probably not for anyone who experiences this would loathe this experience and swear not to do it to anyone who is not an enemy.

Hi Jason, Wow I hate when people kick my chair as well. I have to hold my anger in check for fear I will leap over my chair and try and throttle them. God I hate that so much I really hate people talking through movies as well. My brother, alas, likes to talk when watching movies, either to point things out, ask questions, or just try to be funny, and I hate it. I just like to watch them in silence and have my thoughts supply any extra comment humour, not my brother. Even worse is when someone has seen it and keeps giving you spoilers, my brother does that as well Oh and people who chew popcorn loudly or shake it around, or even throw it around the cinema. That annoys me too. Other than that I like the cinema lol Dranz

Hello my friend I am eating and while reading your response I almost choked you are so funny, it make absolutely no sense whatsoever, I will never read a response from you will eating ever again LMAOOOOOO, other than all that you like the cinema too funny my friend. I hate when people tell you what is going to happen, that makes me sick, wouldn't it be better for you to watch my reaction as oppose to telling what will happen before hand. What about the people that talk and never have a clue what they are talking about, oh this is going to happen, oh o.k he is going to get her, no well just shut the heck up and watch the freaking movie, my niece likes to tell people what is going to happen, I said if you open your mouth lol Thanks my friend, I needed a good laugh.

Hi Kitty, I am starting to think that I should consider a career as a comedienne, I think i could make a small fortune lol Oh yes, I had forgotten that, people trying to see smart when they aren't, or predicting things. Now my dad is worst at that, especially with TV programs so I stopped watching those with him. Too annoying. I just let things unfold and if a hunch I had was right then I smile, I don't tell other people or brag about it ! Glad to know I gave you a smile Dranz

I also like to watch movie in cinema. I have friends who like to ask me question too,but that does not annoy me a lot because we all understand that we don't want to be disturb. So,we will just ask and reply with short answer. For the spoiler,we will avoid a movie if some of us watch before to avoid my friends giving spoiler too, lol.

The most annoying thing in a cinema is people talking. Coming second is people's heads in the way so that I have to twist my head to one side and invariably I end up with the painful neck. Finally, the seats may not be too comfortable. So I don't go to the cinema these days, but wait for DVD to be released. It's more comfortable watching at home and if there is two of use watching it, it is far cheaper.. And.. I can sell the DVD on Ebay or Amazon later and get some of the money back.. - Derek

Watching movie at home is surely much more comfortable because you can avoid the disturbance that happen in the cinema. However i think there i still prefer to go to cinema as the sound effect is much better than my home television.

how old do you think more or less the person who kicked the chair at your back. he was really terrible. like he had nothing else good to do on his life that he just tried to bother people and make fun out of that. like he was trying to get somehigh either he was so bored with the movie he was watching or just plain bored on his life. i do hate if people were not considerate of the people in front of them that they will just keep pushing their feet orl egs against the back of the chair specially if there are people sitting on that chair being pushed forward and getting bothered on their viewing of the movie. there should be some rules inside the cinema against those peolpe kicking chairs.

Judging by his look,he look older than me,I don't know in what way i have offended him or he just trying to piss me off. That is why i prefer the cinema with spacious seat.

Really, for me, it's the prices. Not so much the ticket price but the concessions prices. It's almost $50 now for two people to go to a movie and have the standard popcorn, candy and a drink. And more than half of that $50 is spent at the concessions. The thing that really gets me is you can go to one of the theaters that have a full restaurant menu and pay the same price, or sometimes less, for a real meal than for popcorn and candy.
• United States
23 Sep 09
Let's see... A regular price ticket is $11, that's $22 for two people. A large popcorn is $7.50, large drink another $6.50, and if you figure each person will want their own candy at $3 a box...that's another $20 (I guess just half, not more than half). $42 plus gas to get to and from the theater it's almost $50. I'm just guessing on the soda price because most theaters sell Coke products and I don't like them so I rarely get a drink. If I do it's a bottle of water (which is still $3).

Wow that is expensive if you are just go for the stand class cinema. However, there are some cinema which offer premium class or gold class seat which is much more comfortable at some higher price.

Hi jason, Welcome to myLot! I hate it when people inside the movie house don't bother to switch off their phone, not just put it in silent mode but really switch if off. It is dark inside the cinema and the smallest light can distract viewers. Even a text message can light up a cell phone and it can really be bothersome specially if the person holds it up to read the message. It's sooo annoying, period!

Hi zealjason hahaha that guy was so funny. I mean he is really annoying and if he did the same thing to me while I'm trying to enjoy a movie, I'm pretty sure I would have lost control of my temper. But its just so funny thinking how childish of him to really try to annoy you and get in your nerves.lol Well, as for me the usual thing that annoys me when I'm in the movies is seating beside a pervert. You know, guys who tries not to make it so obvious but still is pretty obvious that he keeps on leaning on you. I usually change seats, cause it really bothers me a lot. And also people who are seated in front of me who keeps on standing up.. Grrrr... really annoying!

Yah, I unfortunately for me, I do have experiences on encountering perverts. They are just everywhere.lol And as for the people who keeps on standing up, I could make an exemption if the scene was really something to cheer up for. For but I really hate it when I'm watching a thriller movie and then someone keeps on standing up on the best scenes of the movie. =(

Pervert in the cinema? It seems like you have meet some of them, you are quite unlucky. For the people that stand up in the cinema,i even seen some that enjoy the movie a lot, until they stand up and clap to cheer certain scene.

I'm afraid that I have several pet peeves when it comes to watching movies. First of all, we pay good money to watch movies in the theater. Nothing is more annoying than a group of people sitting right in front of you, acting like animals. They start throwing popcorn all over the place. Then they shout out the ending before it comes. Then there's the group that only came to make out. Of course it has to be right behind you. Then there's the group that needs a babysitter. Kids are sent to the movies and the theater is the babysitter. When I go to the movies, I want it to be an enjoyable experience. I don't want to be a hall monitor.

Waiting for the dvd to come out can be exhausting. At least at home what annoys you in theaters is absent. Home viewing is more relaxing, but nothing can beat a theater experience!

A lot of problem like that occur in the cinema .That is why most people rather wait for the dvd version than go for the cinema. At least they are in control at home and they can choose the time to watch.

I know this is kind of a given but i hate annoying little kids at theaters especially because the movie that I see usually are above there age group. i also hate when there are projector problems that mess up the whole ambiance. I mean who likes those fuzzy little lines

I hate when there are 12 or 13 year old kids left alone in the theater while their parents are out shopping or whatever and they are using the seats and stairs like their own personal playground. Running around and climbing on things. They're like video game characters who always run and never walk. 6 or 7 years old I could understand but 12 or 13? Really?

THINGS THAT ANNOY ME WHEN I AM IN THE CINEMA WATCHING A MOVIE ARE: (1)A couple or anybody else who can't keep their conversation to themselves (2)A person who can't eat their pop corn or whatever snack they have as quietly as possible. (3)Group of friends who can't stop giggling when there's nothing funny about a scene in a movie. (4)a person who does not turn off or at least set their cell phone to silent (5)A person who can't seem to find a comfortable sitting position and decides to bother other people who are comfortably seated because he can't take the fact that only he can't be comfortable. ("If I can't be comfortable might as well make you uncomfortable. We all suffer")

"If I can't be comfortable might as well make you uncomfortable. We all suffer" I think that the reason for that guy who sit behind me to kick my chair. I know the seat is small but i can still sit without bothering people who sit in front of me.However,he can't,it make me curious to know what are they thinking.

Everything about a cinema annoys me, so I refuse to watch films around there unless I am in special company. That last happened in February this year, ever since I haven't set foot and gave a single dime away to the people who run those places.

Well the prices for food annoy me a lot since if you want to get popcorn and a drink its very expensive. Also the biggest thing that annoys me is that you cant go to the bathroom otherwise you will miss some of the movie. Which usally happens to me when there is a long movie or I drank to much and I feel like I have to go to the bathroom very bad which at home you can just pause the dvd and go and then come back and restart without missing a thing.

I also have the same issue before,so no i will go to the bathroom first before the movie start.I don't want to miss any scene and need to ask my friends what is going on.

The people who come to a movie then either talk on their phone during it or text through the show. That little light drives me wild. It also bugs me when people talk through the movie - if you want to talk go to dinner not a movie or STAY HOME.

I normally hate yakkity people in theaters, but I must confess sometimes I find them amusing, which is a good thing, considering I've been known to blurt out the odd comment on rare occasion. The weirdest, I'm sure, was once when my date & I were watching an old 30s "Gold Diggers" movie, with Busby Berkley's incredible dance routines (in an "art theater" on UT's campus), & in one scene, the dancers were the typical crowd of lovely young starlets, all seated at a few dozen white grand pianos which --against a pitch black floor--were very striking. The pianos were moving, constantly rearranging into patterns (classic Busby), while the girls had frozen smiles on their faces, playing (or pretending to play) the pianos, never batting an eye at all the movement. So far, so good. But then, on the over-sized screen, I spotted a goof. Somehow the editors had left in a brief glimpse of a pair striped men's pants legs moving under the piano--which was how the pianos were made to move, of course. There are times, I swear, when my mouth goes off on its own. This was one of those times. It opened all by itself, & in clear, ringing tones the entire (if sparse) crowd of film-goers could hear, The Mouth said: "Oh, look! There are little men under the pianos! No wonder all the women are smiling!" I think it's a true testament of how much my guy loved me that he still dated me....! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

People chewing their popcorn to loud. It bugs the heck out of me when I hear crunchy noises so loud when your trying to pay attention to something you want to see. I mean it's not cool to hear those noises while your in a movie theatre. Also people talking or texting when it's in the middle of the movie.
