I'm curious to know, who all has started your Christmas shopping? How much do you usually spend during the holidays? Any money saving ideas? I usually start in October, but I have been known to pick up things here and there through out the year and stuff them in my closet or under the bed.

Yes! I've started my Christmas shopping, but only because I found some good deals. I typically don't really get into my Christmas shopping until closer to time. Usually right after Thanksgiving. Black Friday is pretty much the start of the shopping season for me. The only reason I have gifts now is because I saw some awesome deals online. My advice for you is to start looking early! There are a lot of great sales out there year round that you can start picking up gifts early. Also, so some black Friday shopping (day after thanksgiving.) You can do Black Friday shopping both online and in stores and find some really great deals! I love shopping on Black Friday even though it can be nuts. I've also learned though that you can stay home and avoid the rush and order online. Many websites like www.amazon.com have GREAT Black Friday deals. Good luck with your shopping this year!

I NEVER start early... I love to go out the weekend before and shop amongst the crowds and noise... but this year I have been forced to act early. I read in the Oprah magazine of this website that offers sales. The sales are fantastic and products are well known. The trick is buy now or it will be gone. So I have finished 3 people off my list of 8... 2 children and one of my sisters. I love this site so much, the products are unique and very cool, so I am sure that they will not be duplicates. The website's link is http://www.hautelook.com/invite/gbartlett847 and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as me!

I actually only have one gift purchased and that is for my mother right now. I plan to order some things from the net.
The biggest way I save money on gifts is to shop on Black Friday. I either shop in the store or shop online as I can get really excellent deals that way. I can save hundreds of dollars that day on items that would cost me three times that amount any other time. If you hate the crowds, online shopping is the way to go as many retailers have excellent online sales too.

I pretty much do some Christmas shopping all year round. You can get some really great deals right after Christmas so why not start then and save some money. This year I'm putting together baskets of personal care items for all my girlfriends so they can have a spa day at home. I've been able to get most of the items for these baskets with coupons that have made them free or nearly free so that's saving me a ton of money. My biggest advice is to watch for the sale and try and use a coupon. You would be amazed at how many great coupon codes there are for online stores and what great deals you can get with them. Happy Shopping!!

I also shop year round , with a larger sized family i dont have a choice. I buy new things at the end of last winter that can be for christmas of the next year...usually at 50% to 75% off the regular prices. Wrapping paper is another thing you can get huge discounts the year before.

I shop year-round. I can find the best deals when the stores have their holiday sales. You would not believe how much money this saves. If I waited until the end of the year, I would be spending about twice as much. Not to mention I would be fighting with all of the other last-minute shoppers for the best deals.
