I was quite amazed when I was in South Korea 2 years ago.
This village hotel has an automated window... just a press
of the button, the window can open outwards or closing back.
Just like adjusting the car side mirrors..
So, is there anything that you want it to be automated?
To make life more convenient? Do share your ideas and
perhaps your 'inventive' minds...
Thanks and happy myLotting!

Hahaha, 'cyborg woman' perhaps!
I read in one incoming mail, about
a special remote control that can
control women.
Man will once more become a 'king'
in his own house.
It is just a 'desired' remote control,
do not know when will be out..LOL

Hi Iriene,
In this modern world, everything is becoming the automated.
If the automation is done in the public transports ticket and balance giving, it would be fine.
In our country, most of the conductors especially the government buses, they don't give the proper change like the 50p for the passengers. They just starting to ignore giving 50p change to them.
If the tickets are automated and the change are automated it would be more convenient.
Have a great day.

Dear dbutheking,
Thanks for the support, you are a great 'king'
I thought only Malaysia do not have the conductor and being
shortchange. It seems you are facing the same issues there.
However, in Malaysia there is certain buses accept the 'Touch&Go'
card, which is automatically deduct from the amount available
in the card. This same card is use for the highway, rapid train,
fast food restaurants etc.
Thanks for sharing, great ideas for the community!

Dbu,
More or less it is well developed than our country I hope...
Iriene,
Nowadays only we have automated ticketing system that too on the conductor's hand and he will press one or two buttons in that and the ticket will come up. Before that he use to have a bunch of new tickets in his hands and he use to tare it in the middle and give us.... I don't why he tares it in the middle till now.
I hope he will tare the number in the ticket to denote the stopping.

I think there should be an automatic car, which should run on the command of the owner of the car only or a sub owner or member of the family.
It should be a serve to mankind who acts as a servant and obeys our commands.
Actually its been hard to drive all day and the driver cant rest in middle, he is always alert in driving so, this facility would help the drivers a lot.

I want that too especially long distance
driving on highways. I remembered many years back my journey
daily to work was 'interstate'. It takes 45 minutes to 75 minutes
drive. Both sides of the highways are so boring. I may get sleepy
at times.
So, your idea is great. Just like the 'auto pilot' facility
that the pilot have for flying the aroplane.
Thanks for sharing, I truly enjoyed reading it!

Hi dear!
It is interesting to know about automated window. I would like a system on computer which will help me type my responses, without pressing the key board keys. Cannot we have some phonotic system for typing on screen.....LOL!. I would like that as I speak, the response should automatically get typed on the screen and if I require to make any correction, that could also be carried out. It is figment of my imagination, hope some Scientist see it and convert my imagination into reality in the time to come.

Maybe, it will happens one day since the technology
has been so advance nowadays! Keep our finger crossed.
By the way, if that is the case, many typist, or secretary
will out of job..??

Hi Iriene,
I think I could use a robot that can drive - or do the robots in Japan have these feature already? I am sometimes a backseat driver, I overly criticize anyone who drives for me, a robot won't get pissed off and react to my comments - so that means less trouble and less danger.
A coffeemaker would be another one. Oh not the ordinary coffeemaker, it's something that can do more, like making coffee the way I want it done (half coffee half milk with a teaspoon of sugar) and put it on my table without me exerting any effort at all. I would love to have this in my office where I can be so busy I don't have time to make my own cup of coffee.

Great idea and very practical! Yes, agree with you!
We depends on Japan technology - Honda to come out with
this creative and practical robot.

can drive one day, he is cute and adorable!
Hahaha, many coffee lovers will dream to have the coffeemaker
you are hoping for ..

Definitely doors. Doors that can sniff my own smell then it will automatically open for my convenience. Of course, it should not open for strangers.

Dear IMEzekiel,
Hahahaha , that's really hilarious!!
It do make sense! Besides the verification by thumbprint,
eye recognition, now you are suggesting smell recognition..
However, there is a possible setback. Assuming someone
managed to get your unwashed clothes...by using it, he
may be able to get the doors open..???
Thanks for sharing, great fun reading it...do keep in touch!

I like that idea real well. I would love to have a system in the kitchen area and any other floors in the house without carpeting that I can push a button and an automatic floor scrubber does all the work. Would have to be set up like an outdoor lawn sprinkling system. Wouldn't that just be too cool?

It would have to be a system that comes out from beneath the floor. Like have to load the detergent/washing liquid once a week. It would work for everyday use but to get the real clean floor, handscrubbing would still be the method. I would buy and use a system of this nature.

Dear carolbee,
Automatic floor scrubber! That's really cool.
I remembered last year, when we are in Holy Land.
Since it is a desert land, they have to be wise
with water. They came up with a very smart automated
water dispenser that will drip water and fertiliser
at certain schedule time exactly at the plants' root,
therefore no wastage.
Thanks and really cool idea

hi irene88 well I would love to see all big doors on all commercial 'buildings have automated doors and automated'winds here
in our retirement center. It is so hard to manage an armful of
packages, and a cane and still get the heavy glass door open, it
makes you feel as if it is going to smack you one or knock the
packages out of your arm.

Dear Hatley,
You should brought up this matter to the committee
of this commercial buildings and your retirement center.
They should look into this matter as this is very important
and practical for the elderly. I hope some 'kind and thoughtful'
philanthropist will donate some fund to put this into place. I
like your idea, it is absolutely practical and make this center
a better place..

Hi Iriene, I pondered this one earlier but was overwhelmed by the number of areas I am lazy in and would like to be automated. So I'll just go with the simple time saver of the mylot system.
We should have it automated to type in phrases such as 'copy that' so we don't have to grapple for hours trying to make it go blue and putting it somewhere else. Type 'add picture' rather than lose the will trying to do it. Simple but effective for technophobes for me. Combined with some automated thing to bring me constant coffees without the necessity of moving.

I have just wasted 15 minutes trying to upload a delightful photo onto Hic's pies only to have my avatar and one word comment appear 3 times with not a lamb in sight. I am now officially giving up photos, it is a thankless task indeed as well as tedious beyond belief. That was a rant Iriene. We demand automated photo facility now.

Dear Thea,
Hahaha...we human are never contented
When I was below 500 post, I type the long phrase and hoping
to achieve 500 and be able to use the 'copy & paste'. Then,
we wanted even simpler steps...the automated feature!
In actual fact, I too agree with you..the 'add picture'
is really tedious. That's why I tend to forget to put
those picture in. I will support you for this automated
feature...yes!

you know what.. I wish my bedsheet can be automated together with my comforter.. as and when I am done with the bed in the morning, I can just press a button, and the bed sheet can be straighten on it's own, and the comforter will be able to be folded on it's own too!
I am just too lazy sometimes to tidy the bed, since I know after maybe another few hours, I will be at the bed again, especially during weekends that I don't know how many times I got to the bed.. so, by having this automated bed sheet straightener, I can save more time by tidying the bed..

Dear cwong77,
I like this new invention if they are available in the market.
I think whoever can invent this will sure making tonnes of money
and laughing all the way to the bank!
Hotels will be the major buyers and so do consumers like us.
To think of it, it is really a hassle to made the bed and later
we use it again. Isn't it double work or unneccessary procedure?
Hmm, I just wonder who start it that we must make the bed once
we wake up in the morning!!
Thanks for sharing, truly enjoy it :)

This is very interesting. I think I would like
it very much if the following items can be automated.
1) the road has automation to divert vehicles to alternative
routes during flash flood to avoid traffic jam. When it
was jammed lately due to heavy pour, a 45 minutes journey
can become 3 hours.
2) Automated 2 in 1 - iron & folding machine!
I noticed that we can have washing machine to wash clothes.
Dryer to dry the washed clothes.
Iron and folding ???

I will definitely buy the automated
'iron & folding' machine. It will really
helps a lot. I think you should do some R&D
and come out with this great invention. Get
LG, Electrolux, Philips, Toshiba to endorse
it. You will be soon making big bucks..

Dear James,
That commercialised huge ironing machine you mentioned.
I remembered seeing it too. It is using hot steam and
it put the shirt in between two hot iron metal piece and
the result is a non-crease shirt perfectly ironed.
You should come out one for domestic use. Will have
bigger market for it. Go for huge production so that
can enjoy 'economy of scale', to reduce production cost.
Thus it will be economical and cheaper for end user!

You like it? Great...
I was hoping someone will like
this idea and feed back to me.
It is convenience and ironing
is quite a tough job. However,
I think I saw a special iron before
for commercial use...but very costly!

There is really a great invention (automated window). I guess my girl would like this a lot. Keep pressing the buttons and watching the window open and close.
For me, I think it will be great if there is a machine that could prepare milk for my girl. My girl is a heavy "milk drinker". She needs milk every 3 hours, although she is two now. Therefore, sometimes I have to stop from what I am doing just to prepare a bottle of warm milk for her. Besides, I need not to wake up in the middle of the night to prepare for her.
My husband said, he wish to have a fully automated cruising car. It will drive us to the destination by just key in the code. Sounds cool right?

Dear shuetyeng,
Your idea of 'automated milk maker' will be selling well
in the market. Most working mum will pre-order it
It is good that she loves to drink milk...she needs all the
nutrients. Do you gave her more porridge and solid?
Fully automated/cruising car is in high demand too. There are another
2 myLotters will love that too. I like it..great invention

Dear Iriene,
My girl started to eat solid food when she was 5.5 months old. And since then, she loves solid more than milk. Actually I have been preparing a lot of menu for her from that age even till now. She had no problem in finishing the meal.
We noticed that although she loves food, but still a thin girl. Luckily at the later time, she started asking for milk more often. I can clearly see her body size grown much bigger and more chubby then.
Now, I am still continuing in serving her all type of solid food and at the same time. Sometimes she really shocked me with her appetite. She able to finish a plate of porridge after she had milk 30 minutes ago.
I just realised that the mylotter that comment before me also like the idea of fully automated cruising car. Should I say nowadays driver are getting lazy and lazier. We even not satisfied with the invention of the automatic transmission car, LOL!

i would like criminals to be automated in a way that it makes them freeze when they are about to commit a crime.
once a criminal goes out of prison, something will be installed in his system which can detect action which is criminal in nature. if this thing detects such intent to do criminal action, the criminal just freezes for a few hours, enough for the police to arrive and catch him.
this will really solve criminality globally. hahahaha
(just letting my imagination soar ... it's free, anyway)

It reminds me of the movie acted by Tom Cruise 'Minority Report'.
Your idea is better than them, you can sell this idea
to Steven Spielberg for Minority Report 2. You are really
creative and full of ideas, should be a movie director and
script writer. I totally agree with you, this will definitely
solve criminality globally!

If I have the chance to fully automate something I would choose to fully automate building and road constructions. The Engineers would have to only input the architects design and insert their calculations and in one push of a button all will be done. When I say all I mean all, including the safety factors and limitations. That is at least without using gas or anything that emits Carbon Dioxide and Monoxide to fuel the whole automation process.:)
