i sometimes reduce the liquid and add water. Or i put some cornstarch to make it saucy. Its a problem when your food become so salty. Its better to make it bland than salty.

Just cook all over again and ask to a superior force why do you keep doing it. And reach the conclusion might be very well because you're one of those persons who have this special charachtertic starting with i, like dio, t, you know?

No matter what you're cooking you can add a raw potato either whole or cut in quarters. If it's something that potato doesn't go with, like beans (that's where I always get too much salt), just cook til the potato is beginning to get a little soft then take it out. If you're making soup, just cut the potato up into bite sized pieces and leave it in the soup.

Many times, you can add a potato. I cook Mexican food a lot (with jalapenos, extra salt), and if I add too much spice, simply adding a raw potato will "draw out" extra spices. All you need to do is to rinse off the potato, then cut it into large pieces and add to what you are cooking. After awhile, the potato will pull out the extra spices or salt, then, you can just toss the potato, and viola! It's all better!

the usual way is to add water or sugar 9brown) to lessen the saltiness. but i have read somewhere that putting sliced potatoes in the salty soup reduces the salty taste. if it is soup, u can just add potato to the dish and if it's not soup, u may take out the potato just before serving it.

Hi If you have put additional salt in the dishes then add them some half cooked potatoes (it should be half cooked without salt) into the dish if potatoes suits the dish you are cooking.. and then cook it for some more time so that potatoes get fully cooked.. Potatoes takes off extra salt in the dish and also gives good taste.. This works good for currys and graveys..

Add some sugar or vinegar but depend on what you are cooking .

I experienced that too, but I found a simple solution for that. It also depends on what you are cooking. If you are cooking for soup and mistakenly put more salt you just add slices of "sayote" because sayote will absorb the saltiness of the water.

you know i have the same problem but, try this and trust me on this, when i first moved in with my husband, this was my main problem he use to laugh and joke about it to his friends but, it hurts my feelings so i keep trying finally, i came across this seasoning called ACCENT, its a round bottle thats white and red all around, i'll tell yah...you can never go wrong with this, with just a couple of shakes it will make every food you eat a favorite to others...if it is still to salty than maybe add some water but, this is the best seasoning i have ever used. you can find at Walmart there between $2-3 dollars, goodluck i hope this helps
