Did you miss grandparents Day?

Hey all moms, did you miss grandparents day? Or, did you remember? And, more importantly, did your grandkids and kids, remember? What did you do on Grandparents day?

I missed grandparents day. I think because they don't put it out there so much like they do for Mother's day and Father's day. It's written on some calendar's and only a few stores put up signs saying things about the special day. Wonder why? if I would have remembered, I would have sent a card or went over for a visit. I know that I should do that anyway though..not just for that day.

Yes, i agree. It' always nice to receive unexpected guests, especially family and friends. Or, to receive a card in the mail, sometimes, for no reason at all. I know a lady, that recently got three cards in the mail, from family, not one of the cards were written on or signed. Lucky for her, they did put a return address on the envelope, so at least she did know who they came from.

in my country, we never know or familiar with granparents day. only one, mom day in 22 december.

There are now so many "Days" that I can't keep up with them...the other day it was 'Loud Shirt Day' of all things. I didn't even know there was a Grandparents Day. How long has that been going? By way of absolute coincidence, I've just written a humorous piece on grandparents and rules. Thanks for your comments. I only know that Loud Shirt Day happened last week, and can only assume it's something to do with people wearing their brightest, most colourful '(noisy) shirt to work. Someone I know complained on Facebook that even though he wore his worst-looking shirt, he didn't get the prize - whatever that was! So Grandparents' Day has been around for a few years...? Well, what'll it be next?

You indeed wrote that aricle very well. Now, what is "loud shirt day"? That is one that i have never heard of. As far as Grandparents Day, i think they actually made it legal several years ago.

I was teasing w/my son at my grandson's soccer game about grandparent's day & he said my grandson had made me something but i never received it. I did get a picture in the mail of my grandaughter that i never get to see. I was remembered, sort of, lol.

Glad to hear that you got a picture. That will be nice to hang on your wall. She'll think about all those visits shes missed when she does see it hanging there.
