I see that many of your responses are only one or two lines. These will earn you very little. MyLot is about quality, originality, descriptive content. You need to practice giving longer responses and also giving responses that people will want to rate positively. You can really only do this is you have something to say and this means choosing discussions which encourage you and engage you. Notice that to the left of every box where you type a discussion, response or comment, it says "Please be as descriptive as possible". That, basically, is all there is to it! Since MyLot rewards participation (and participation of quality), ALL 'participation', including comments, will count. If you start a topic on something that interests you, it doesn't really become a 'discussion' until you begin to 'have a conversation' with others in the discussion - that is, make comments on what people have responded. Once you learn to write discussion topics with that object in mind - expecting to come back and comment on what people have said, you will find that your earnings will get better. Something that many people don't realise is that earnings are only updated after 24 hours (sometimes it can be longer at weekends), so what you have earned for today's participation won't show up until this time tomorrow, perhaps.

Thanks, Jennlk Pchick, welcome to MyLot! We shall probably never know how MyLot decide 'quality' over 'quantity'. It does mention in the FAQs, though that the Discussion Rating System (the 'plus' and 'minus' signs are "factored in", so if one or more people think that your response is worth something and they use that system to say so, it should make a difference

Hi ganeshj, If you want to earn from your participation in the discussions, your posts (discussion/response/comment) must have quality and length. One quality posts might earn you more then your ten no quality posts. One line post also might not earn you anything. If you start a discussion, make sure you leave a comment on every responses that your discussion receive. Your earnings are same even if your discussion receive one response or hundred responses. To earn more you have to comment on your responses. Our earnings here is base on our own work and not others.

First, welcome to mylot. You earn by posting QUALITY responses and threads. Please take a few minutes and read the discussion guidelines. there is no specific formula for earnings, it is all based on quality of your contributions. Again, PLEASE rad the guidelines before you go much further, it will save you haveing posts and threads deleted.

That's easy, all you need is participate... Create and respond to some discussions and do some tasks as well. Happy myLotting!

There is no set amount 'per post'. It depends on many things, the main one being 'quality'. In the Guidelines we are asked not to discuss the actual workings of the complicated algorithm, so I had better say no more. In the FAQs (under 'Earnings') there is a section which tells you how to make the best of your time on MyLot. There's a link to both the Guidelines and the FAQs at the bottom of every page. Everyone should read them (and possibly know them by heart!)
