I am a member of the survey site Opinion Outpost, and i noticed today that i have enough points to receive a payout. It would not be a large payout, it is only $5.00. It takes 4 to 8 weeks for processing and to receive my check. What would you do, ask for payout or wait to try to get a larger check? It does not matter what the amount of a check is it will take the same processing time. I like to wait for a bigger amount on most of the survey sites that i am a member of. What do you think?

I am personally a member at the site myself. I need 30 more points in order to reach the $5 mark. A couple of years ago, I was more active than right now and had gotten a few checks from them. I let them accumulate more than $5 because to me, the bigger the check, the better. It's interesting to note that they do send you potential surveys to do in order to qualify and see that if you do, then you would get paid for it. It sucks if you don't qualify for certain ones.

Hi laurie! I try to do every survey invite they send me, but for the most part i don't qualify. What usually happens is i get to what seems like the middle of the survey and then it throws me out. I think a larger amount is better, as it will come in handier than a smaller amount. It is nice to see some other members of the survey sites opinions. Thanks for the input.

Hey Shar.
I already did a friend request and hopefully you would let me be your friend on here so then that way, I would be able to give you my referral link and such. I check out your profile and am already on some of those sites to make money.
Will talk to you later then.

I would wait until I at least had a $10 payout! I am a member of that site and they are great about paying, but it does take awhile to get your check. In my opinion it isn't even worth going to the bank just to get $5, but then again if you really needed the money go for it!!

Hi crys! You are right, it is not worth it to go to the bank for $5.00. I am thinking of waitng until i reach the $10.00 mark, but i really haven't made up my mind yet. After you ask for your check, about how long does it take you to receive it? This will be the first payout from opinion outpost, so i was just wondering. Thanks for your input, and Happy mylotting!

Opinion Outpost is no scam so you don't have to worry about them closing down the site and stiffing you. I wait for my account to reach 100 dollars because it seems kind of stupid to cash out for such a small amount. Do you want to keep cashing 5 dollar checks? You will earn that and more monthly on Opinion Outpost. You will be constantly cashing out 5 dollar checks. I understand that some people like to get their money because of scams. Well, I know first hand that Opinion Outpost is no scam. They have good customer service and have never let me down. I only wish they had a PayPal option.

Hi, BlueGoblin! A paypal option would be great, i have to agree. I have made up my mind and i am going to wait for the check to get larger. I have had several comments from people who are members and have been paid, so i am not worried about it being a scam. Everyone that is a member has basically said the same as you, to wait. I was glad to see that i had reached where i could have gotten a check, but the more i thought about it, i decided to just wait. Thanks for your response! Happy mylotting!

Before you make your decision you need to think about a few things. How regularly do they send you surveys and what is the average amount these surveys pay? How long do you want to wait for and how long has it taken you to reach the payout limit? I sometimes wait a while before I claim my earnings and if I knew for a fact that the company was a stable business who always pay out I would wait if I was in your situation.

Hi geebobuk! I have been thinking this over, especially what you have said. The surveys come on a pretty steady basis, but it seems hard for me to qualify for alot of them. I have seen where other members have been paid. It has taken me some time to reach payout. Thanks for the advice.

If you don't need the money, let it grow. If you need it, go ahead and cashout. You have earned it, it's yours. As you mentioned, there's 4-8 weeks processing to consider. By the time your check arrives, you have probably enough for another cashout. There is anyway, no processing fee for cashouts. In my case, I cashed out when I reached 20 or more. Opinion Outpost sends a lot of survey invites, it's not that difficult to reach a good payout.

Hi, pavan! Yes, that is just what i am doing! After all the great responses i have recieved, and seeing the members who are members there say that they would wait, i would agree. It was nice to see that they were not a scam, but to see what everyone thought about it was an eye opener. I hope to be able to make this check larger real soon. Thanks for responding! Happy mylotting!

I cash out as soon as I hit the minimums. The main reason is you never know exactly when these sites will go sour. Better to have the money in hand than trying to accumulate a large amount only to see it all disappear.

Hi sierras! I can fully understand your point. It is a valid one. I am still divided on the issue. On one hand i want to cash out, but on the other i want to wait. I believe this survey site has been around for awhile, but that does not mean that they can't disappear. Thanks for the input, and Happy mylotting!

Hi
I think you have to request for the payment, so that before wasting any more time you will come to know whether this site is geniune or not.
Good luck!

I also belong to Opinion Outpost. I have noticed though that it seems to be getting harder and harder to qualify for a lot of their surveys for some reason. What I usually do is cash out at the end of each month. Some other companies though I will cash out as soon as I can because you never know how long some sites will be around.

Hi Shar! Yes, it has gotten harder to qualify for the surveys. At opinion outpost i usually don't have enough to cash out at the end of every month. That wouldbe really nice to do, but it is nice to have finally reached where i can ask for payout. I still hae not made up my mind as to cashing out or not. Thaks for the input. Happy mylotting!

I would definitely goahead and request a check, the money is better off in your account than theirs, but that is just my 2 cents. It is not much but every little bit counts.

I've heard they do pay, so it's really up to you if you want to cashout now or wait until you have a greater amount in your account. I am a member there myself and personally want bigger check so I'm waiting. When I get the check I can use it better with higher amount, and what are you going to do with 5 bucks?

Hi velvet! I like the thought of a bigger check, but on most of the surveys i get i don't qualify for. I am wanting to wait, but still not sure just yet. And i have to agree $5.oo isn't going to go to far in my house. I think the more the better, but i am still up i the air so far. Thanks for the input.

I think I'd take the payout. It seems odd that it would take that long when so many sites pay via paypal. I think I'd want to make sure that they were legit, and one way is to see if they pay on time.
