When you were a kid,what did you want to be when you will grew up?

I from young wanted to earn a lot of money. I forgot what is my dream when I was a kid, but I know all along I wanted to be big businessman earning lot of money.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a baseball player. I played baseball right up until high school and then switched over to football because I thought it was more macho. I liked the physicality of the sport, as well. I used to watch as much baseball as possible and even used to go watch professional baseball spring training down in Florida. Like you said, in life things change. In my case it wasn't because of some outer circumstance, but an inward calling towards football. Anyway, I went on to play football up to the college level and was satisfied with that.

I wanted to be a lot of things when I was a kid. I wanted to be a doctor, a nurse, a vet, and a teacher. I'm sure there were other things in there but those were the main things I wanted to be. Well, I noticed that teacher was definitely higher on my pretend play list than the others and well, here I am. I just started teaching back in July and I guess you could say that was my dream and it did come true.

Thats easy I wanted to be a farmer or a Vet I even went to college to take animal sceince courses but then I was run over by a forklift an that killed that dream Ihad to drop out but I like my career I am a mom of 4 girls an as far as animals go I still take in the sick ones heal them an find them good homes which can also be forfilling

Hello again ice-simile When i was a kid, I used to draw a lot stuff from my paper,walls and every pile of flatting i could find. but as i grew up my drawing capabilities begun to diminish, then after being successful in making a model house and completely remade electrical wiring, fuse box and lights, i wanted to be an architech. but it changed again as i enrolled as an entrepreneur student, but wasn't able to become entrepreneur..yet

When I was a kid, I wanted to become a teacher since my pre-school teacher was so good to me. When I was in gradeschool, I wanted to be a cashier, an accountant, a doctor, a nurse, a saleslady, a carpenter, a policewoman, a dentist, etc. (so many dreams right? :D ). my ultimate dream at that time was to be a doctor. guess what i am right now? i am now a registered nurse. i am still reflecting if i would pursue medicine and fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a doctor. hope i can decide soon..

I wanted to help sick and become a doctor. That was my dream then but not now. I think I need to become a billionaire to help the sick.

[i]Hello icesmile you know i always had mixed dreams when i was a kid.I wanted to be either a dentist which i just wanted from when i was small, even i wanted to be a businesswoman.I wanted to study finance, investments and international business. I never thought while i grew up that either of these will even get true. I am now completing my finance and investments and last year i just completed my international business studies, they are not that high as i dreamt but they are what i did dream about.Dreams are always on the highest side but in reality we have to sacrifice something, because they are totally different from each other, but yes i agree my dreams were true[/i]

i started having things i want to when i was probably 5. first i wanted to be a nurse. then it changed after a year. i wanted to be a teacher. i wanted to be a singer. an actress... whooooaaa.. its so nice to recall all those. thank you for this post. ann

I had a lot of dreams when I was a child. I wanted to be a model, because I wanted to be famous. I wanted to be a doctor because I thought I would be so rich by becoming one. I also wanted to be a stewardess because I wanted to fly to another countries :D even I wanted to be an astronout, just to step on the moon! I wanted to be a clothes designer because I loved to draw clothes :) I wanted to be an entrepreneur, business woman or CEO so I can donate some money to charity etc. So many silly dreams when I think about those again... But now I almost finish my 4th year in business major, so I think I can achieve my dream in business area :)

when i was a kid,i wanted to be painter for i liked drawying.on the day of my 9th birthday,my father presented me a dozen of colour pens as a gift,i used these pens to draw pictures.at that time,i belived i can be a good painter when i grow up. however,i don't take my dream come ture.to pass in the university entrance examination,i spent all my time in studying lessons and gave up my dream. now,i am a merchandisher, from last year,i started to learn photoshop skill and hope to build a studio in future.

I actually wanted to be a doctor when I was a small kid but as I grew I changed my thoughts and wanted to be different things like police, lawyer, miss universe and journalist. But now I just want to become a doctor, that is my childhood dream and yea it will succeed, I know.

I thought of many thins when I'm a child.I have ever wanted to become a detective,a scientist,a doctor,an artist,an movie star,a movie maker,a football player,a politicans,a ecnomist.And my hobby is changing everyday.

When I was young, I had a dream of becoming a medical doctor but it is so unfortunate that my dream did not come true. This is based on the fact that I am from a country of impossibility, a country where dreams don't come true, Nigeria. Though the country is blessed with so much resources that the wealth these resources generate is so much that it would be enough to make every Nigerian very rich. But believe me, only the Government and the rich are having these big fortune in their bank accounts. Their investments is all over the country and in a nut shell, they have bought virually all that belongs to the country. They care not about the nation as many of their interest end in money making and not solving problems. It is such a painful thing that Nigeria is full of greedy people. Even families seldom help unless you meet a God sent. It has not been easy for me all my life and after I made some millions and put it in the Nigeria Stock Market, the money is presently useless because even when global crisis did not affest these companies, they tend to manipulate their share prices down and now, share holders and stake holders are stuck in big mess. I am stuck in Nigeria big manipulative problem and I am starting my life all over agian as I can not affor to sell my stock with the present prices. However, my present dream is to make Africa and other suffering nations peaceful, benefiting places. This is my dream and I have come up with so many ideas in making my dream a reality. As a matter of fact, money has been my biggest liability but if finally, these dreams manifest, they will generate everlasting wealth for the investors and the world. I hope I find an interesting investor asap. I also wish our life could be more meaningful someday and the world will be one place where dreams come true. It is so sad that most dreamers die with beautiful dreams which might never be manifested by another party. Wishing everyone best of luck in life!

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian and work with big animals, especially horses. Then later I wanted to be a librarian/veterinarian. I always loved horses and dogs especially though I loved all animals plus I loved books. I read all the time. I did not become a veterinarian though I did work as a librarian briefly but, it is sort of boring. I love books but I don't like all the things that come along with having a library full of books that must be put away in a certain way, too many rules I guess.

When I was younger I wanted to work with dolphins and be a marine biologist...I even went to a special high school that specialized in marine studies. But in college I minored in oceanography because there is no way to really make a living as a marine biologist. There isn't any funding and it's too competitive. One of my friends older brother had to go back to college because the best job he could get was at sea world, and I wasn't going to join the navy to work with the dolphins...so now I have a journalism degree, and not using it and I'm probably going to be going back to school for a nursing degree hopefully within the next 2 years I will have enough money saved up for tuition.

i wanted to be a cop, but that changed part way through my final yr of school. i went a worked with horses instead, i found a thrill of seeing a young horse come on and then you sell them on. watching them go on a be sucessful, i know a few of the race horses i rode went on to win. i would back them each way, and once they had hit form you could granutee they wold be winning or placing in each race. some were worth a fair bit as well. i now work with cows. either way i enjoy working with animals.

I wanted to be a teacher. I was an assistant for a teacher and I realized that it wasn't the job for me.

I wanted to be either a journalist or a web designer when I was younger. I also wanted to be an astronaut which was kind of unrealistic lol. But somehow deep in my heart I knew that someday I'd work for the government, and dang! Here I am working as a tax administrator lol

Remembering my childhood days, I wanted to be a NURSE. To be able to help others. As I grew up, I was an Engineer. But being to have a heart in becoming a Nurse, I am starting to be a healthcare professional and planning to proceed further studies in Nursing.
