The other day I started a discussion entitled "Are you patient enough to read a long discussion?" To my great surprise, I've received more than 60 responses. Most of my other discussions can only receive fewer than 10 responses though I think they are also good discussions. I wonder what kind of discussions are likely to receive more responses? Would you please share your opinion?

I am like you. I can never predict which discussions I start will get the most responses. I often start discussions that I think will get many and they get only a few. Some of my discussions have gotten none- not a single response. I always feel bad when that happens. Other times I get lots of responses and don't know why that particular topic was so popular. Basically, I can never predict it, and am often surprised. So I am in the same boat you are.

Hi lucy, I respond to almost every football (soccer) discussions. That is my main discussion. But I also respond to other topics. Otherwise I would not got 1085 total post right now. Usually I will give a respond to the discussion that I think I can say something in it. Any general discussions. Usually general discussions that everybody can participate will receive more response then discussion that required specific knowledge or regional issues.

I think ones that have an interesting title up front that can grab my attention. Then I would be more likely to read the topic the discussion writer is talking about. I don't mind long discussions just don't make it too long for me.

Well off course discusion that i really catch my attention and interest. Most of them usually is discusion about facebook, computer, game and programming. I also like many other discusion with random topic. The key is the title of the discusion. If it sound catchy enough, then i will go and look at it. And usually i will always post my voice after i read the topic.

Hi, lucy It is hard to say what kind of discussion will get more responses, I think the most key point of attracive discussions is the interesting. Plus post the right place and express point clearly. Just my opinion. FYI

Personally I think there is no real idea as to what type of discussion usually will get the most responses back to it, or who might be responding back to them at this time as well. I think overall it is a matter of who is actively posting when you start the New discussion and are others interested, including friends to want to respond back to these type of discussions as well. I have many discussions I have started thinking I will get a lot of responses back to only get 2 or 3, and then others I get over 50. So personally I say just feel Free to post what is on your heart or mind at the time, and see what happens as well. Wishing you the Best.

I like to respond to all kinds of discussions. It really does not matter to me as long as I have some knowledge of it. I read some of the long discussions if they are interesting but I rarely read those. I like the shorter ones.

It is very hard to come up with a good topic of dicussion, one that others will be intersted in posting responses to. That has haen my problem is coming up with good discussions. That is one resson I don't start many as if it isn't interesting enough then no one will respond to it. I only respond to ones that I feel where I can put some input into. If I am not interested in a disucssion, I will just move on to the next one and so forth. I respond to all kinds, just as long as I am can gie some input I will respondd. I don't do politics or religion one though, as they are so controversial. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi lucy67. I respond to topics that interest me. It is only when I find a topic worth reading and worth spending my time, that is the only type of topic that I respond to.

Hello, Lucy, I think lots of people like simple and easy topic, so am I. Anyway, it's really hard to predict if the topic I am going to make is going to be popular or not. I have lots of post that are out of my expectation as well. Anyway, in general, the easy topic that do not involve in private thing usually get more response. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
