As many of you already know, Iran is developing/in the process of creating nuclear bombs. Therefore, do you feel that a country that is notorious for "housing" terrorists, to have nuclear capabilities? While this question is stated in a general/neutral sense, there are many worried individuals throughout the world (both politicians as well as regular citizens) who are concerned about this potential breakthrough for Iran. Do you think it is okay for Iran to have such weapons? Or is it perhaps ideal (while it will never happen) that all countries "discard" of their nuclear weapons and eliminate a weapon of mass destruction from their 'inventory'.

hi Bradwood, This is conflict among giant countries which trying to conquer the world . This is their agenda to not let others good then them. Just sharing, There are countries which are actively developing nuclear weapon. But these "giant countries" make don't know about the existing of that activity. As i said this is cheating. I am very happy if iran going to develop this weapon. In future, iran can protect itself from been treated. Regards. C.M

Not a good response for non-profileration, but an excellent one on purely the fair principles that SHOULD be applied. If the nations do not get rid of their nuclear arsenals, who are they to prevent others? But that would not be responsible would it?

I'm not worried about Iran having nuclear capabilities because they're not going to be able to complete production...one way or another. They have proven themselves again and again to be untrustworthy, they have openly threatened the neighboring nation of Israel and they are challanging the UN right now. It won't be long before they are either forced to shut down...or forced to fight the fires that will follow the bombs that land on their facilities.

This is a matter of opinion, but Israel has far more nukes and has attacked its neighbors for trying to have one. But people forget that Israel maybe a threat later, but intent on making Iran a rogue simply because it does not like Western foreign policy. Moreover, Iran denounces terrorism. Iran cleverly decoys the Americans, which it has learnt from the tactics of the Americans. Iran NEVER said it wants to destroy Israel with any sort of WMD. Rather, it stated an opinion that Israel was the causal effect of the regions problems, and the holocaust victims should have been located in Europe. When 'wiping Israel off the map' is taken out of context, then propoganda takes over. Ahmadinijad only stated political maps and the existence of the State of Israel causing so many problems that the map should be redrawn WITHOUT relocating the Jews.

I´d be very happy the day ALL countries discard their nuclear weapons. I have never understood why some countries have "the right" to have nuclear weapons while others shouldn´t. I feel the same with biological weapons. In fact the word "weapons " give me shivers.

Yea but I'm more worried about america reatalliating and stuff. Can you imagine the day where everyone launches there sets of nukes in a matter of seconds of each other so that the whole world is set into a sludge of nuclear waste. The only place that will be left alive is new zealand as no one cares about it. So i'm not so worried about Iran in specific. I'm worried about everyone.

Your point merits a much better contender for 'best response' for this discussion.

Personally, I'm worried about not only Iran but other countries in Asia that are into nuclear research especially one that deals in weaponry. The world is not getting any safer that it was in the two World Wars. If men do not change their mindsets and continue to crave for power and glory, Earth will be destroyed by Man sooner than you think. So, to answer your last question, no - it is notok for Iran to have nuclear weapons.
