Do you have any favorite break up song? What lyrics in the song hit you most?

MY favourite break up song of all times will be, FIxing a broken heart.. lol =D WHwn i first heard that song, i have already fallen for it, when i was just about 9-10 years then.. hehe ^_^ I like the melody in it, as well as the simple lyrics, which carries so much of true feelings too.. haha =D NOthing is able to replace that song in me, and of course, with each break up, there will tend to be a unique break up song for that particular person too ^_^

for me it will be "tell me" by joey albert... "where did the feeling go" by selena and "i love you goodbye" nina and wait, please include "before i let you go" of freestyle! hehe well, i have never been into real heart breaking break ups...but i find those songs really nice and just nice, i can also relate with them...especially that i love you goodbye! & tell me

First one come to mind is " Breaking up is hard to do" Cant think of lyrics now but I do remneber that it says it all.

Actually two of my favorite breakup songs aren't sad in the least. They both remind me of one guy in particular, and thinking about him I always feel a sense of relief that he's gone from my life. That's not to say that I wasn't devastated when we split, but now I know it was the best thing that ever happened. Now hearing these songs makes me feel happy and exhilerated to be past that point in my life. "Unbreak my Heart" by Toni Braxton used to make me cry over a guy years ago, but then he was one of the first serious guys I ever dated, and I literally did think my heart was broken.

I don’t know if these are necessarily favourites but there are two that bring back memories of past break ups one is Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing compares to you’. I remember sitting in a café just after a major relationship bust up waiting to meet my friend so I could cry on her shoulder and they played this song and I could not stop sobbing for an hour! The other is Alanis Morisette’s You Oughta Know, the lyric “It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced...” brings back memories of a broken heart too and the anger of having being taken for a ride by “Mr Duplicity”.

lol!this is funny.. you know what i had a four years bf and our theme song was ONE LAST CRY ...hahahha! i didnt know why did it became our theme song...but it was our favorite song too.. and you know what...we end up breaking our hearts..that in the end.. we weren't meant to be for each other.. its was sad but..in the end maybe God has His purpose His reasons... and it really was OUR ONE LAST CRY... heheheheh!... thanks! acie here!

Hey neelianoscet! I have had so many different break up songs! It's hard for me to think of them because throughout the years there were different ones for different breakups! I know that "Never Thought You'd Leave In Summer by Stevie Wonder was one of them. "Never Can Say Goodbye" by Michael Jackson was another. Oh and "Fire and Rain by James Taylor was another when I was in college in Massachusetts. Like I said I had so many since I'm alot older than you I had alot of breakups and alot songs from various artists throughout the years!

My break up song is from Pink entitle Misery And, oh! Yeah, I broke up several times and every times I will recall the antiphonal singing song we have through together, I did not know how to translate into English, but I love the song very much, indicating that we miss each other ever before. You issued a great topic here as I can find a lot of melodious song that I love, saying " The Art of Letting Go" is really a great song that I can recall a lot of past.

My favorite break up song of all times is 'The bring of The north'.Every times I hear this song ,My birthplace would be called to my mind.

I have two songs that I cannot listen to because of the memories associated with them. One is brad Paisleys's " She's everything to me" and Tim McGraw's " Its your love" both are filled with memories that although I am over the guy, they still bring back very painful memories. However, I do like Leona Lewis' " Better in Time" and Rascal flatts " Stand" both are very inspirational songs for me.

There are quite a few such touching songs in the national language of my country India, that is in hindi. Some lines just make us think that this song was written only for me! They make us cry. Though I don't listen to many English songs, there is one song which has this effect on me - Faraway by Nickelback It is such an amazing song and the lyrics are like... Cant express in words! Sure that some lyrics are reminding me of one of my ex(es) or my current one . For that are sad songs and happy songs . i don`t have a break up song , but as i listen to some songs, some of them are reminding me of different ex(es) . Sometimes i feel sad and i just turn it off, but sometimes it really don`t bother me at all . When it comes about lovely songs, i listen thouse with a happy face .
