Gissi stamping his Paw

Well some of you might think I have cracked now, but I have been watching this now for a couple of weeks
When I ask Gissi to do something and he happens to be lying comfortable on the settee, he at first will ignore me (which is nothing new with the little Fellow) I will then gently poke him to let him know I am talking to him, well, he stamps his Paw and looks at me, if I tell him again, he will stamp his paw again
If he is lying on the settee next to me and wants attention, I say just a minute, he will stamp his paw, I will ask him if he has just stamped his paw, to make a point he stamps it again
Now to make sure I was not imagining it, or that I am ready for the Straight Jacket or that it was just a one of I watched him and nope he is certainly getting his point to me by stamping his Paw.
Has any of your Pets ever stamped their Paws at you?

Gabs love you have quite an amazing fellow on your hands indeed No my animals don't stamp their paws at me,but my oldest cat does meow as if to say no. It is funny to see their personalities come out in so many ways.
No need for a straight jacket love, mine has room for 2

My Pepi has, for the past couple of months, decided to drape himself over my shoulder when he wants my attention. Usually after he has pathetically stared at me for what he considers too long and he is tired of just waiting so hence the shoulder deal. He can hang out there for a long time and if I still ignore him he will paw at my head! I am constantly amazed at the new tricks my 3 babies get up to!

Not stamping their paws, but I have had a few that have turned their backs on me (cats of course.) In fact, my client and I pissed off her cat and she turned her back on us, and when she didn't get the reaction she wanted, she kept turning her head back to make sure we noticed her doing it - kind of loses its effect

LOL!! The little fellow is human. I haven't even stamped my feet myself; but I had a cat that used to bite me to show that he was not at all pleased with me. ;) Not too hard, but enough for me to get the message.
Cheers and happy Mylotting

LOL No need for a straight jacket gabs!! I know just what you mean!! LOL I had a cocker spaniel named Rainbow that would dance for me when she wanted something. If we went to visit a friend and it was time to go home, she'd paw my leg and then dance. I knew she wanted something and when I talked to her she'd dance some more. She was such a sweetheart! I loved her so much!

hi gabs and gissi on my no but my pet dog was not as'smart as your Gissi, and I know Gissie is one smart little dog. of course
he stamps his paw,he wants to make a point,he is as close
to being a human as a little dog can get, what a character.
He has personality plus, and when he wants to make you
listen, stamp stamp, stamp, he he he. I had a black cat that
'was a character once, he would look at you like you were'nuts'if you asked him to move over please, then he would hiss
almost like he said, no I will not. and by golly he 'would
not move. then pretty soon he would stretch and come'and
plop himself on my lap, If I asked him to get off he'would
'look at me and y es, he would hiss. not aggressive just'one hiss as if to say i do what i want whenI want.

Lol Hatley your Cat must have known Gissi as Gissi growl's when I ask him to move and I get the look to
Same when I go to bed and he is comfy on my Pillow, I have to fight for it as he will not share it with me
For a little Dog he can take a lot of space lol

I don't think this is to unusual, the animals watch us very closely and if we respond to one of their activities. Then thay will repeat it to make sure they read us right and then they will train us to respond that way. So who's the smart one?
Not me.

Hey gabs! I definitely think that Gissi is trying to make a
point! He is trying to tell you something! I know that when
my cat Luna wants to tell me something he gets into his whiny
voice and won't shut up! I will ask him what's wrong and he
will answer! And then he just keeps going on and on! He is
the talker! Now Star is the loverboy cat! He will just keep
trying to get into my lap if I'm on the computer and if I keep
putting him down he will get right back up again! He is more
of the "action" cat! If I am in bed he will lay right next to
me and purr! They both have ways to "talk" or communicate with
Mom, although differently! So Gissi has decided to not use his
voice since he knows Mum doesn't like him to "shout" so now he
is using his paw to stamp! He is such a smart little boy!
