I just learned about a great new work-from-home site and it's legitimate.

For those of us trying to make a little extra money each month, I wanted to share this with you. I just received an email from a work-from-home site advertising this new site. It is free to sign up with for now but will cost something next month.
The email came from Virtual Office Temps and says that this new company, Home Workers Net, is partnering with them to provide work-at-home jobs to everyone who is a member of VOT. I don't think you have to be a member of VOT first, though. I went to their site and did not need to verify my membership with VOT so, if you want, go to this new site now and sign up! It's free! And, no, there is no referral system so I do not have a referral link.
The site is: www.homeworkersnet.com . There might be something there for you to do! Does anyone already know about this site? I haven't seen it mentioned here which is why I ask and why I posted this discussion. Will you give it a try? If you do and find work, please share it with us!

Thanks for the info. My blog is all about legit sites that I use to earn money, and I will be sure to try this one out and write a review. If you're interested in reading my blog, the link is in my profile. I hope this site is legit. I earn a decent amount now, but more is always better!

Hmm... interesting. I have not visited the site yet. But I am wondering this when I read your discussion.
How does the site assign the job to you?
How does it pass the job to you?
How does it pay you? Paypal? or do you need a local bank account for them to credit the money to you?
Is it open to international workers outside of the US?
It has been two months since you posted this. Have you given it a try?

Shall, I start with the first red flags. First of all, there is absolutely no TOS or Privacy Policy. The line is it is being currently updated. Second, they have hidden their server information. It has a bogus proxy address. There is no real person as a point of contact. What it does promise to be is another spam site.
The so-called job they refer to is a clear scam, designed to get you to sign-up for an 800 number. Most likely, you sign that number and they get a referral. There is no real job behind this. Ask yourself this, why are you signing up for an 800 number when all you are supposedly doing is inputting data into a database? That is all computer work. The company can communicate through email, Skype, IM or one of the thousand free voice recording places. You simply don't make $12.50 an hour from data entry. Not working at home. They are not BBB accredited. So many red flags here. I am sorry. I know you were simply trying to help but there are so many who really can't afford to pay and than get nothing out of it.
Always, always, check out the job prior to signing up for anything.

I couldn't find any negative reports about it so I joined. Thanks so much for posting this!! A lot of work at home things are scams but this one seems to check out with a good reputation.

I'll certainly check it out but I'm not holding my breath.
For some reason all these online work opportunities pay very poorly.
I have a great idea !
Open a bar in your porch at home and sell drinks to passersby and friends.
Why not ?
If it works - it works !

Thanks for the hint.I did go and check your site ,it looks pretty legit. What I am stuck on is the Toll Free number thing...I have to choose a Toll Free number and Than each of their plans has a monthly fee to pay for activation. You have to slect your calling plan, and than ONLY once you pay that monthly fee do u have access to their Jobs.SO, your not even sure if and when u pay that fee that youll be guaranteed a job.Nice...

I have never heard of it. I will check it out. I hope you find something that will help you out. I have been doing a game site, that you can get gift cards or gifts for points and GSN for oodles for gift cards. I have gotten $50 in the last month for those two alone, along with the survey sites, but a real online job would be nice.

I just checked out the site. It looks good, but I think I would have to do a little bit more research to see if it is really good. The site has a small number of jobs compared with sites like odesk, which is understandable because it is new, but I hope it would have more jobs available soon.
