How do you find old couples still hold their hands together?

Yea... I always imagine myself and my partner doing this when we get old in the future - holding each other's hand and walk together. It is very sweet.

For me, seeing such a thing would make my heart melt..... I would be so touched! It's not very common that the "spark" still lives on till such an old age, so it would definitely be awesome to see such a thing. With divorce rates skyrocketing in this modern age, it's even a wonder if we could find married couples not holding hands! Haha, I hope when I get married and grow old, I will still remember to do that to my wife (whoever the "lucky" girl may be)....

Yes it is very sweet. It makes you wonder what hardships and good times they have gone through in their life. It's amazing in this day and age because too many people rush to divorce.

I think it's one of those signs of affection that really never becomes too difficult to do. I've been with my girl for 4 years now and I still hold her hand when we go out in public. She tends to drag me around though, lol, I don't mind. I'm sure if we are to ever get married I would continue to hold her hand till the day I die. :)

i find it sweet and cute. i admire old couples who still hold their hands together and stay sweet and loving to each other. over the years, they are still together and i am sure it is love and respect for one another that bind them. i envy them and really like to be like them ... but that isn't possible, i lost my husband 6 years ago. may he rest in eternal peace.

hello feodda, seeing old couples who still hold hands makes me want to cry because they are just so sweet and full of love. i want to grow old with the man i am with now and i know that if we just decide to make it work and love each other the way we do now or more, we'd still be holding hands after years and years. ^^

Your wish will come true. I wish for that. But holding hands is nothing before a simple look in which the eyes are carrying all the love that is there in the spouse's heart and that is very touching and heart filling than holding hands. I wish you get that affectionate and loving look too from your spouse and realise my words.

That's so sweet whenever you see an old couple holding hands. I always wish that when I grow old I'll be like that with my husband and the other way around. Wishing that like my parents we would be sweet with each other and still holds hand and more.

I think older people holding hands is one of the most romantic things they can do, it shows the test of time and what true love is all about. I too also hope that my true love and I will always hold hands and hug, not only in private but in public too, because it's good to show others how well the older population can get along...awww, true love, there is nothing sweeter.

I agree, seeing older couples very much in love makes me look forward to the future with my husband. I hope to be that couple someday that gives young people hope. It is a true inspiration to see everlasting love.

How good if you saw your parents still holding their hands when they get old. I just wish that my parents still treat each other as loves and saying I love you to each other though they are old enough. I find it true love because it's a lasting passion and affection that never get fade.

It is so sweet to see old couples to that. I rarely see those things. It is so nice that they are still sweet and still in love with each other all those years.

My wife and I has unique kind of showing affection to each other. We do not hold hands in public, we do not kiss in public (oh well, there is an exception, we kiss every Sunday Mass after saying "Peace Be With You"). Why? I don't know. Maybe because I am not used to displaying my affection to public which sometimes makes my wife feel jealous because she thinks I do not love her. But there are many ways showing affections right? So when my wife and I sees old couple holding hands while walking together, I know she's envious but I immediately whisper to her, "Ma, wait till we get home. You'll have more than holding hands." Then she would laugh because she knows what I mean..

I always bow and appreciate couples still have the affections and passion to keep their relationship strong and healthy. I always look forward to see my parents still holding hands and embracing each other when they get old.

Now a days it is so hard for the younger generation to stay like that when they get older cause there is so much cheating and stuff going on now that hardly anyone is together forever but it would be nice to grow old together though with someone that loves you.

I went to Golden Gate Park--very beautiful!--& while there I saw an elderly couple walking slowly, holding hands, & their eyes were full of each other. It was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever witnessed. I took a snapshot, & though it was just a poor camera & black & white film, even now, when I look at it, they seem to glow with their own light. If I ever run across that pic again, I'll get Elic to post it here so everyone can see it. Hi Feodda, It is nice to see old couples still hold hand together when they go out.it means their love is everlasting and they love each other very much. As for me, when I am going out with my husband alone, we still hold hands together. Only when we are out with my son,then we will hold our son's hand. My son is gettin jealous easily if he saw me hold his daddy's hand.

Yes it is so sweet to see old couples still hold their hands together. They may have been married for over half a century and still love each other dearly. Could it be they are widower and widow and just newly married for companionship? Well for old couples who have been married and gone through life thick and thin it is wonderful to see them so happy.It is so blissful. I do wish to see the day when I hold my wife's hands in my hands looking into my wife's eyes lovingly declaring my love for her as we grow together. Such everlasting love is so blissful.
