Well a bunch of our neighbors already have their Halloween decorations up. So naturally my kids are bugging me to put ours up. We have all of our decorations up in the attic which is a pain to get up into. I told my kids that we'll put them up once daddy gets the big tote bin down from the attic. Now I just have to convince my husband into doing it. Do you have your Halloween decorations up yet?

Yes! We do have some decorations up for Halloween already! My favorite time of year is Halloween though. So, every year I decorate for it. I love all the movies they have on tv the whole month of October! It is so much fun to decortate the yard with ghostly things. There are still some more I do want to buy before the 31st, but we always have fun doing it!

I don't decorate for Halloween. I am amazed at the length that some people go to who do decorate. They put all sorts of things on the lawn and the house and it is amazing.

It always amazes me too. Some people are really into it. We don't put that much up. I just decorate the inside a little bit.

I always wait till just a couple of days before Halloween. It ruins the holiday for me if people begin rushing it and putting up decorations now is definitely rushing it for me. I love putting up my Halloween decorations! Some of the people on my street really go all out, with outdoor light displays and everything!

I'm like that with Christmas. If I decorate too soon then I feel like I'm ready to take the Christmas tree down early.

I am really sorry about putting up any kind of decoraions anymore. I admire everyone else's & seems like people aound here decorate alot more from halloween than thet use to. When my sons were home we always carved a pumpkin etc. & i sure do it for my grandkids. i'll talk to my grandson & if he wants us to of course i will, lol.

This is the first year that we've lived in our own house when Halloween has rolled around, so to be really honest, we don't even have any Halloween decorations to put up. Besides that, our two-year-old is so incredibly afraid of all of the Halloween decorations that are at the store that I am afraid to even try to buy some to decorate with because I'm afraid that he would scream every time he saw one. It was embarassing at Target when we went down the Halloween aisle and he kept screaming like someone was trying to kill him.

Nope no decorations up. I'm afriad my kids have issues with leaving stuff alone. I've even tried window clings and they just peel them off, bend them ect and then they are just junk! **frustraiting** so if they can't behave with those I'm not putting anything up. And there are not very many kids on the block & our fav neighbor doesn't believe in Halloween soooo...

My kids seem to do the same thing. They feel the need to touch everything.

No, my husband won't let me put Halloween decorations up in our house, he says he doesn't celebrate Halloween, I've always liked it, we used to have a Halloween party all the time growing up but now we don't do anything. The only thing I can put are Fall decorations so that's what I do, stuff like pumpkins, and fall colored flowers and candles, things like that, this is my favorite time of year. I hope you get your husband to get the tote down for the kids.

Some people just don't like Halloween for some reason. Probably goes back to their childhood days.

Hi there Shar19 Well Halloween isn't so big here the UK as it is in the US so no one has their Halloween decorations up or if they have I haven't noticed haha. There are lots of Halloween costumes and stuff in the shops though. I picked up these really cute little torches (flash lights) that were only 50p (80c) there were ghosts, skeletons and witches, they are very small and I am going to keep them by for the kids Christmas stockings shhhh

I highly doubt that we will do any more than set out a few pumpkins this year. Last year, we tried to decorate, we made grave stones, ghosts, and even a coffin to put in our front yard. Then, by our steps, we made a scarecrow and put straw, corn husks and pumkins around him. I even had a witch flying above our door on a broom stick. All this work lasted one day. The wind got so bad that every time we tried to fix the decorations, and keep in mind, most of them were suck in the ground or tied to the ground and still blowed over, they were down again within a few hours. So, because the wind is beginning to be just as bad as it was last year and all of our decorations were ruined last year, we will skip it this year and just put out some pumpkins.

oh dear lord no!!!! thank goodness... we go very mild with decorations, but then my son is in school now and I definitely will put up what he brings home that he has done. My neighbors across the street will have theres up this weekend since it is the first weekend of Oct... and my neighbor next to me will have hers up with in the next wk or two... my concern is the scary houses that will freak out my son as he is 6....he has liked them in the past but everything changes from year to year!! good luck getting yours up soon!! the neighbor hoods are about to get ghoulish!! Happy mylotting.

I don't have very many Halloween decorations, but I'm about to put them out. I really like the holidays, and a big reason is the fun I have decorating. I don't have any kids, but my dog gets a kick out of the skeleton mask that cackles when someone walks by. That's probably the most "Halloween" decoration I have.

Sadly, Halloween is not that much of a big deal at homes here in the Philippines. However you will find lots of Halloween decorations in public places like shopping malls or parks. There are also some places that hold trick or treats which is always fun to look forward to. Generally though, Filipinos prepare more for the All Soul's Day rather than celebrating Halloween.

...Hi Shar19, My residence does not lend itself to decorations, as I live in an apartment. But I do notice that some people keep their Christmas lights up year round, so I guess they won't be putting up Halloween decorations, too confusing :o). When I worked in a small real estate office, I would decorate the front window with orange and black streamers, pumpkins, plastic ones which held candy, not real ones, and skeletons. It was fun and the people in the office liked it, the children would stop in when trick or treating, to take some of the candy. I think it is such fun for the kids, as long as there are adults supervising what they receive and eat, it's a bizarre world. Take care.
