Do you have any goals?

I don't always have goals but on occasion I do set myself some. I have been really thinking about taking a class and have pretty much come to the conclusion that I'm going to do it. I have set goals here and there and was kind of curious about your goals. What kind of goals do you have? They don't have to be huge to count. I think that even small goals have great outcomes.

Sometimes we get way to busy for extra goals. That has been the story of my life up until now. My children are getting older and it kind of gives me a chance to do a few more things for me. Thanks for responding.

for me it is the time where i need to give time to my child and now i am on the way where i have to give birth a new member in my family and really all this had made my life more busier and i dont find time to think of anything except my children and family an hence i think it will take more time to have a thought about my life.

Enjoy it while you can my friend. It goes by very fast. I'm still busy with my girls but nowhere near what it was like when they were little.

My goal is to be a good human no matter what. that;s my primary aim in life and other things take its course. I am not a very ambitious person, hardly see myself to the top. Having said this, I like to accomplish things like all do. Like, doing something, it could be as little as doing the chores, perfectly and in time makes me complacent. Many times I fail, tend to procrastinate things. This is like an alarm that makes me sit straight and get going.

The goals I have started last year and hopefully by next year I will have accomplished most. One goal was to take a course on Writing Childrens Books. So I'm more than half way finished with that. Another is hoping to publish a children's book, sell my house by next year and then move to Puerto Rico. These are my goals at this time.

Hi Jen, My goals tend to be longterm as I don't stick to short term ones all that often, that and the ones I did have I have now completed, though without much of a fanfare! My main long term goal is to move away from home. I have had a brief holiday, ending tomorrow, and it has taught me that I really want to have my own place and live my own life now, and so my goal is to actualy do that. Alas this seems to also come with the goal of 'getting a job' which I am not so keen on, but if it will get me my house then I shall do it...somehow lol I guess if I wanted to get strict about it my short term goal would be to survive long enough to complete my long term goals, but that hardly seems nice LOL All the best, Dranz

I think that moving out can be one of the toughest things to do. It is a great goal and you will have alot of independence by doing it. Good luck in the future and take care.

To progress morally and spiritually and to find an occupation where i could help a lot of ppl altruistically, not out of ego. Helping others out of compassion and selflessness will give you the highest form of happiness and inner peace

Hi Jen! It is heartening to note that you are setting yourself some goals and you are determined to achieve those goals. I am happy to note it that you have zeal and enthusiasm to attain your goals and you are willing to even attend some classes for the same. I do not have any such goals and whatever those small goals are there, I think I would be able to complete with my own determination and sincerity.

I do have some goals which I am working hard to achieve. One of the thing I did was to come up with a visual board. You can check out the visual board here: http://gnmdoubletomillion.blogspot.com/2008/12/visual-board.html Most of the goals I set out to do, has already been started. I am still working hard to achieve them. The goals I set are simple, but is one heck of a struggle to get it realized. I am not giving up. I will get there one day!

wow new photo. i hope i have time to change mine too har har har. i too have goals but on what happened to our city this past few weeks it makes people to think about safety for the next storm that will be hitting our country. small goals are easier to reach and i guess we have to take one step at a time. as of now i wanted to teach my son how to play the keyboards and i wanted to lose a little weight.

LOL..yes..it was about time I changed mine..it had been a while. I figured I let everyone see what I look like with the hair thrown up..lol..I wear it like that alot when I'm busy. I bet your son will do great with the keyboard! He is musically inclined. Both parents are very talented and it seems he will have the chance to learn alot about music. He may be in your band before long.

i think i have a problem when it comes to that jen, i wanted to teach my son to play the instruments but i dont like him to be in a band. har har har. maybe because its not a life i wanted him to roll, something like that. i wanted him to love it as just a hobby and not to get serious with it.

I can see your point. I think that as parents we always want something a little different than what we have done or are doing. I bet he will be very talented even if it is just his hobby. Take care.

Short term goal - pay off my credit cards. Long term goal - work things out with my marriage one way or another. Guess that's really short term, but with long term implications.

What kind of classes are you thinking of taking? I hope you do end up taking them, hon. I've been thinking of taking an art class of some sort or taking a language class to help me with my Spanish. I agree with you that goals are very important. They give you something to work toward in life. Good luck to you, Jen! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Jen- I have a few goals, and as many people do I have short term and long term goals. My short term goals are to get the rest of my Yule shopping done, food shopping done, and finish the first draft of my IRB proposal this next week. Some of my long terms goals are to continue to shoot for a weight of 150 pounds, earn my masters degree at the end of the year, finish my human relations course so I can get a temporary license in this state! I suppose for me I have goals in all areas of my life and some are one week goals, some one month, others months, and some years. I started goal setting many years ago when I started using Stephen Covey's Franklin Daily Planner. Now I use a planner from Self-Realization Fellowship, but I set my goals the same. I also have magickal/spiritual goals as well, and reading goals. Right now I'm working through a book called Dematerializing that I hope to have finished before the Samhain. Have a wonderful evening. Right now I have many goals. My goal here on mylot is to make it to $25.00 before the end of the month. I didn't make payout for September so I should get to $25.00 if I work hard enough. Off the computer, my goals are as follows : Buy christmas presents (this is with my husband's money and money from mylot), Go To The ROD Office and get my marriage license so I can go to SS office, and get my SS card changed., Study to get my permit as I've been cleared to get a license now., Get a car, and Get a house, get a job. Some are short term, some are long term, and there not in any particular order.

In Spring I am leaving here and traveling around the Northwest. My six month goal is to lose 75 pounds, do yoga and meditation to balance myself and setting up boundaries that are better for me. Also have goals of changing my rather old fashioned views and being more outgoing, frisky and living my life more for me. That is it so far. And what is your goals?

Sounds like some great goals my friend! I want to go back to school and one day be in business for myself. I want to be able to travel and do things I never thought I would be able to. I want to be an author of a novel one day and I want to have the chance to throw myself into my hobbies. I may never reach some of these but it won't be from lack of trying. I am working on my novel now and I have my classes set to start on the 26th. I've been doing a few custom oil paintings here and there plus some for myself. I like your goal of being more frisky...I may have to throw that one onto my list too...lol..

Yes I have goals set already and I am making an effort now to accomplish everything before I turned 40. First I want to publish books and currently working on the first three which I planned to finished this year. Second I am investing money to support my travel plan, I want to visit Europe and do some research there. I want to get married next year and have at least four children. Hope God will listen to me this time.

At school, teachers are always making us write about our goals. I don't used to make goals, but after tons and tons of those goal setting at school, I started to realize that I did have goals, it's just that I was too lazy to acknowledge them. My goals are mostly academic, because I'm still a student. One of my most important academic goals is to get into an US university. I live in Canada, and I've always wanted to go the US. So that's a hardcore goal that I'll have to work hard to achieve. Other goals are just basic ones, like getting straight As at school.

Yeah,JeninTN, I do set goals for myself in different period. I like doing things in purpose.of course, goals is more related jobs project or financial investment. For daily life, I grab interesting things to be my goals. I have many goals in my life. but first of all. freedom is my goal. Once i get the financial free, I will be really free. otherwise. freedom has not a consolidated basis. Do you agree with me ?
