Do you tag your discussions and responses?

After we finish a discussion or a response, we are asked to tag them. Do you always tag them or just skip. To me, I always tag my discussions because I hope more people will find my discussions through tags. In most cases, I tag my responses. Only when time is very limited, I will click "skip". What do you usually do?

I always put the tags. It's just a few words anyway, not a hard work at all. But it is a great help for this site to be more organized. So, why not tag 'em? Cheers!

Tagging gives our discussion a greater chance of being noticed. Some people wonder why inspite of posting what they believe are quality ones, they hardly get responses. One of the reasons their discussions were not noticed. Tags help in classifying them. This is what I think.

I seldom do the tagging when i was barely a month old here not until i read a discussion made by our fellow mylot member. He said that he is earning quite a few cents than usual because he posts 4 lines of a discussion or more. Posting less than that or commenting to a discussion with only less than 4 lines won't be good enough. He also said that he always tag his discussion so probably mylot admin consider that a plus factor. I don't have valid proof for that to back up my claim but what he is experiencing can be considered a plus factor really. Since then, i do tag discussions but i have to admit sometimes i still don't.

I ussualy tag my discussions but sometimes I skip them. The reason I won't is if I have a short time to them. I should always tag them though, So maybe more poeple can see them. It only takes a sec. So I son't know why I don't. lol

I tag my discussions and responses. Before I seldom tag my responses, I would also skip the tag but I received a message on Mylot a few months ago saying that every time we are going to respond to a discussion, we need to tag it. I am trying to tag my responses to every discussion that I have responded.

I do tag my discussions or responses. It will make the work of mylot easier to put our discussions in appropriate interest and easier for others to identify.

I'll be honest: most of the time I don't tag my discussions and answers because I'm in a hurry or because I don't know what to write. Anyway I'll be taging this one eheh

I will tag my discussions, and I do tag reaponses, but not all of them. Some are very hard to figure out what to put as tags, so in that case, I just leave it go and don't tag. Tagging does help others find a discusion faster, but I don't really think it is necessary to tage them all. I think though that if the discussions have already been tagged, and we tag them to, it is just double tagging, and not sure that is necessry, but in some instances, I will tag as long as I can figure out what to put down. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

At first I tagged my responses, then I skipped tagging several times because of my slow internet connection. Then I received a message that I should tag my discussions to identify where the discussion belongs. Thanks for opening this discussion.

Hi Lucy, I have always tended to tag whatever it is I am replying to, I think I ended up doing it because of the belief that it would increase my earnings, but I don't think it does anymore, though tagging has become a habit so I keep doing it. I never tag messages though, and if I am commenting on something and get that option I always skip it since I have already added any tags I could think of, but when I am replying to something for the first time I like to add tags All the best, Dranz

No, i never tag my discussions simply because i don't know why to tag them. What's the point. Maybe it's because i'm just beginning here on mylot, so you can explain me more the utility of the tags

I always tag because that stupid popup will come up anyway... I wish there was a way to disable it somehow. It's really wasting my time.

When I was at beginning of using mylot I used to skip tags. But Later I came to know from my SEO studies that keywords are very important in terms of searching. So I started keeping tags for every reply to discussion. I dont know why I did in the beginning like that, may be lack of awareness related to that.. I thinking noting will be implemented with out any reason.

I tag them if I feel it's relevant. I don't know how well the tagging system works. What I mean is I don't know if it really brings that many more people to the discussion. Do you have any experience with this? To tell you the truth for the most part I skip it because I feel the topic says it all and if people are searching for a particular discussion they can find it through the topic alone. I maybe wrong and since I'm new here I don't know all the ins and out of myLot. Maybe you can give me some advice. Do you think if I tag the discussion or comment more people will come. Also, how do I know if people have already used the tags which I want to use. No sense in tagging more than once.
