Luckily I'm healthy & there is no need for any dieting, but I will never consider dieting to become slim. Doing exercise will be a better option to me. Happy Lotting

Diet in not starving yourself though... Better, try changing your diet instead... Try low carbs... WHat I did when I trimmed down was I just ate fruits for more than a month... After that, I tried to become a vegan but it's not that good... I stuck to fruits instead...

I agree. Diet does not mean you have to starve yourself. Slimming can be quite effective if you will have a daily exercise routine and a balanced diet. Its better to eat 5-6 small meals a day rather than 3 large meals a day. I became a vegetarian when I was trying to lose weight 2 years ago. I minimize my carbohydrate intake, I didn't eat rice for two months. My diet is organic and high-fiber. I eat 2-3 servings of fruits also in a day. I lost 11 kgs in 3 months only. My friends were amazed of the results.

Dieting and exercise are the key words to slimming. Take small meals of less carb, less fatty or oily stuff, drink plenty of plain water and take more veg and fruits. Try avoid too much sweet drinks or cakes because they are the culprit to fatness due to the fact that escess sugar in the body is converted to fat that helps in weight gain. Do exercises like skipping or joggin, at least 3 times a week at 20 mins each. If you dont have the time, just run on the spot everyday for 10 mins is good enough.

diet ALONE is not effective. it could somehow make you lose weight but for a short-term period only. you will also feel lighter about your body. but, to make it work, i mean really work and produce long-term results, you have to pair it with exercise, adequate sleep and your meals should be well-balanced.

Yes of course Diet really effect a person if he wants to become slim. Generally less physical work by people in Urban areas will make them fat and gain wait. Most of the sitting job persons will eat and go on bike or car to office and there too will sit in air conditioned office. So, there is no place for body getting exhausted. If a person eat well then that person should see that his body does some physical excercise. if not then that person will gain fat and will become overweight. Dieting is good choice but too much doing it will spoil the health of a person..

well i would admit i am guilty of the sitting down in the airconditioned office which made me gain weight, i previouly worked in construction company where i was assigned at site, there i move a lot running around the site area but now that i have shifted to a office based work most of the things i do is sit down and work infront of my computer 9 hours a day. is so frustraiting. so now i am looking into slimming down by dietting. Thanks for this information.

I say no. A diet is temporary. A true lifestyle change is what it takes to slim down, and keep it off.

The word "DIET" indicates that once you reach your weight loss goal, you can go back to eating whatever you want in any amount. So, no, I think that a more effective way to slim down is to alter your eating habits in a healthy manner and add more exercise to your day. These things can help you to maintain any weightloss that you acheive.

Being on a diet when it comes to food and eating healthy can definitely help you slim down. This does not mean to eat less, this just means to eat healthier. Less fast food and fried food and more fruits, vegetables, protein, etc. Eat smarter, not less. Along with exercise, it'll help you loose weight.
