Well, because their are so many shows outthere about all kinds of stuff it kinda gets overwhelming and that pretty much is what makes you turn off your TV.
I use to be a fan of the trash reality tv shows... VH1´s to be more precise. All that Big Brother and stuff like that we dont get here or we do but not interested in watching other people living in a house, I mean, once you get a hang of the season I just bore easily and find out the ending later at some other site.
Its not something that I would stop my job for or stop attending my kids for ( a next door neighbor does that but with soap operas ), I dont think people that get hooked or watch these kind of shows are in any way shape or form ignorant or dumb or uneducated, the thing is, we know some of this is not true, not real, but people suck it up to it anyways I feel cause its a guilty pleasure. Something about the morbid curiousity on people on what it would be like to be in a situation like that or whatever, if there is competition that as well, I think now a days there is actually the reality tv show cult following.
Naaah, only thing I watch now are documentaries, movies, my baby´s cartoons and my cartoons. I think the Simpsons have more insight than reality shows now.

VH1 used to have the trashiest guilty pleasure shows ever! I loved the Rock of Love series and Charm School. But I think the more you watch shows like that, the more your vision of reality gets distorted. Obviously there really are people like that out there, but they are not the "norm". When you watch that stuff over and over you start thinking that they are the "norm". I've cut back my reality shows to Project Runway and ANTM - real or not they are relatively drama free and the contestants actually get career paths out of the deal.

Naah, I dont think so, anyone who thinks the people that participated there "are" the norm has to be really goofy or just the cult following to those type of trash reality shows. Heck, most of those participants just made a living out of getting their small amount of fame and then go figure what it is that they did with their lives.
I havent seen ANTM in a while now. I get here Brazil's and Mexico's now, but havent seen the shows at all. Your right about the drama free on those, they do seem to have career lift offs wether they win or not. Fashion Runway is also good. I only get a glimpse of it once in a while.
Like I said, guilty pleasures. Some people just love the drama.
To me, that can be boring.

There are innumerable reality shows on the television. But ther is one show which I rally enjoy to the core.It is the juniors singing and they are being judged by the popular singers .It is a stunning and mindblowing show I would say .The young children singing is wonderful and I am sure everyone will enjoy.

Well, for me, it really depends on what type of Reality type show it is if I like it or not. There are many different ones to choose from, and some I find boring while many others I enjoy. The type I can get into, is where people have a challenge like with acts on Americas Got Talent, or singing as in American Idol, or loosing weight as in "Biggest Loser". Personally though some of the shows like Survivor, etc. are not for me though.

I used to watch Big Brother a lot. But it's been over for some years now. Many different types of reality shows followed but to me nothing was as good as the original ever, no I never watched anything again of that type.

Hello
I like to watch the dancing and cooking shows, dancing because I love watching people dance anyway, cooking because i can learn new things there is nothing wrong with trying new meals for your family, some shows are better than others but they all impress me, I love Rachel Ray she is my favorite.
Thank you.

I watched Big Brother when it first came out, but after the first season I got bored with it. There are a number of shows I occassionally watch - Americas Next Top Model, Dancing on Ice or X Factor. But I only watch them if I happen to have the TV on when they start. If I miss them that's fine.

I don't reality TV. There are too many out there and it seems they'll turn anything into a reality TV show.

I am pretty much a reality television junkie and I'll admit it. I've been an avid watcher of both The Biggest Loser and also Survivor since the two shows debuted. I also watch Amazing Race when it comes to the reality shows that are on the network stations. A couple of the other shows that I really like are Project Runway and also Top Chef. I can't exactly say what draws me to these shows but I know that when I don't get to see them I am not a very happy person.
Of them all I think that The Biggest Loser is the best show because it really does inspire people to change their lives.

Yes of course. I do watch Big Brother, Amazing Race, Survivor and Dream academy. I'm not an avid viewer but i got to watch them every once in a while. And also, the last reality show I have watched which I really liked is Fear Factor.

Yea, I noticed that a lot of reality shows are now being created. Sometimes, I enjoy watching it. Some shows however are just annoying to see, lol. But there are really nice and authentic, almost-true reality shows. I keep thinking if they have scripts to follow (that doesn't sound a reality show).

No I don't watch them regulary, but if there is nothing good to watch plus I am just so boring, I might do that. One time I saw a reality show and is regarding break ups. you just simple bring all the related people to the show and break up with them in front of everybody. you see people shouting, crying, screaming in the show, they even tell the whole stroy in the show regardless of how embarrassing it is. well, still can't understand why they do that.

We're addicted to Jeff Lewis' Flipping Out on Bravo. He's such a drama queen!

I sometimes enjoy watching shows such as Britain's got talent, as long as people with moderate talent aren't exaggerated, but shows like Big Brother just annoy me. They have no talent, and they get a lot of fame and attention just from being in a house while cameras are running.

I don't watch reality TV shows. I guess I am among the few who don't...
I wonder why people love watching them so much? maybe because it gets to do with the irresistible desire some people hold to intrude others' privacy?
Personally I don't have a kick out of watching a person whether he is famous one (so sometimes so called 'celebritiy') locked in an apartment for a month mumbling some stupid remarks. I can hardly stand watching them 10 minutes so a month?
Each one and his own taste. I rather have my own reality and spend it with friends or family ;-)

Nice point. There are lots of them out there and the latter ones are far from nearing the formers' quality. Personally my favourites are Britain's Got Talent and it's American encounter America'a Got talent.
I just catch other reality shows from youtube when something extra ordinary happens. X factor for instance. But not an addict of the show.
