eating infront of the television

i usually eat in front of T.V.it makes food more enjoyable.i don't mind a chit chat with family members over food but i need the t.v anyways.

yes i do eat in front of tv because i just want to have two fun's at a time ! and its true that you get distracted while eating food like ie. if someone asks u something u wont be answering them properly which pisses off the other guy.

It is not advisory to eat infront of television. You won't pay attention to the amount of food you eat when you eat infront of television. Your concentration will be on the television programs. This will end up in eating a lot of food and finally results in putting on a lot of weight. There are some people who always have some snacks when watching TV.

i do that all the time..it's my way of multi-tasking... having much not time to do all the things i wanna do for the day.. i can't sit down and enjoy my food any longer... i always do about two or more tings at the same time... it's the only thing that would allow me to get things done.

I rarely do that. When I eat, I go to the kitchen and eat on the table. When I eat junk foods, I usually go around the house. But when I watch TV, I only watch, not eat.

We in the family eat together in the table in Dining Area. But I do sometimes eat in front of the television or computer when I am alone. As I think time is limited so I do task in one setting.

for me its not proper to eat in front of television, we dont use to its sitting down in front of television, we ate certain meals in our dining table, and I see to it that children should eat first before watching any television shows.

aweins, I do not like to sit anywhere else other than the dining table with my wife and family during every and any meal. Firstly, it is not appropriate. Dining in the dining hall and on the dining table is only right and clean. I cannot imagine leaving spills in the hall, oily stains on the furnishings and carpets. It is also irresponsible and a bad habit. Eating together as a family is bonding and communicating time for the family. After all, what is a relatively short time like having a meal going to affect whatever is screening on the television? Is family time so insignificant to a television show? For me, I always treasure the family integrity during meal times and I have always enjoyed every meal and moments. I just cannot imagine how the majority here could take their families for granted as it really takes quite an effort for one to whip up a meal for all in a family. “The love of a family is life's greatest blessing”

yes i like eating infront of television but if iam seeing any intresting things like cricket i even forget to eat.

hello aweins, Yes, i do like watching television while eating, i do that all the time. Most specially if am watching my favorite show or movie. but they're are time when some one else is watching i would eat alone in the dinning room which is actually quite better because i get to concentrate on my food.

I do eat in front of the television and I'm fond of doing that. I don't only do that but my other family members as well. Being in front of the television at the same time eating is an entertaining thing. Because you eat at the same time see some TV programs which are really great and fun. We are used to that routine inside the house. But we can't do it when my grandma is here. She's so strict when it comes to table manners. You have to sit and finish your meal first before you can watch any television show you want.

I usually always eat in front of the tv and I think I do that because I get bored eating if I'm not. I dont get ridiculously into the tv while I eat though. It's just there for my entertainment while I enjoy my meal.

When I'm watching my favorite sitcoms or series in television and it is at the same time as eating breakfast, lunch or dinner I usually bring my plate in front of tv and eat there. And then my father will scold me not to eat infront of tv and that I should eat in the table with the family. I will excuse myself saying, the table is full and there is no place to sit. Although I'm watching and eating at the same I still enjoy it, being a multitasker is a great advantage.

I do some time having food by sitting in front of Television. It happens some times only but regular. Even when I do like that, I keep distance between me and television. Its very important which should not effect to our eyes. But this kind of activity makes me late to have the whole food.

I usually eat my meals in front of the television,also of a weekend so do my children as we use the week end as family time.I tend to ensure there is a good family film so we can all sit and watch it where as we used to watch dr who together as well as eat together.

Hello, Aweins, yes, I used to eat when watching the television. My dinner time is at around seven o'clock, news are started at that time, I do not want to miss it. Anyway, after my son come to join us, I have few time watching TV, even watch the news, he keeps me busy all day long except when he is sleeping. Thanks for your question and have a nice day.

Oh i like to eat while watching tv. Because im a multitasker and I concentrate on both part. Specially if there is commercial on tv, for sure ill focus on my food. when the program came back i began to slow eating and slightly focus on the tv. It's not bad at all. But whatever you prefer, it's still depends on you. =)

My family and I eat at the table. I do not believe in eating in front of the television 95% of the time. I do however have a pizza/ movie night with the kids occasionally. These nights the children sit on a blanket in front of the tv and watch a movie while eating their pizza. I think its very important to eat together as a family and focus on each other and eating during meals.
