we know that sit-up is good for loose belly fats.but sometimes we experiences a lot of problems backpain, stomach pain and uncomfortable.it says that to remove belly fats is that we need to have regular exercise.when we do not exercise and over-eat it really shows excess fats.if the person on the other hand loose weight the belly area will dissapear.so there is no special belly exercises are actually necessary.diet and exercise is needed.do you feel pain when doing sit-up?is it the best way to remove belly fats?

[i]Hello amyson.
Well yes sit ups are the best type of excersice to loose your belly fat, you do experience stomach pain while doing it because it is likely to happen and is also a good sign, but if you back is paining then you are not doing it in a correct way there must be something wrong either with your breathing while do sit ups or something.Because i do it everyday and my stomac cramps but my back never pains and i feel good after doing it , i atleast can do 25 in one go..How much can you do?

I agree with you Archie, one will get back pain only if they don't do the excerise correctly. I never got even the cramps on stomach, I use to do 50 at a time.
@amyson, If you want to do alternative excercises then please do read the below article.. In this article different excerises are given to reduce your belly.. please do read the below link:

Since you don't only want your belly tight do cardio.,It tagets right on the trouble zones defining your shape.Afer doing it a while you want to YEP ! I have been exercising for 4 years now 1 a day plus a walk. My belly is as firm as the rest of my body. You can tighten your belly by sit ups alone, by using your core to not hurt your back so much.Hope this helps They are part of the fat solution food and general exercise brings overall well being.

Sit ups are not for removing belly fat, they are for strengthening belly muscles. To remove belly fat you have to lose weight by taking in fewer calories than you burn. So it has to be a combination of eat fewer calories, burn more by exercising. And sit ups or crunches can help with that, but you can't do it just with them.

Before I thought that doing sit-ups actually remove the fats around our belly. There maybe some true to that but what sit-ups actually do is to help firm the muscles around the belly but it does not loose it. The best way to loose is to is to some aerobic exercises. Also, jogging will help and proper diet too.

Yup. For me jogging and playing badminton works best. Whenever I'd like to lose weight, I always play badminton and jog at least 30 minutes every morning. In a week time, I lose at least 4-6 pounds including diet. :)

I've been in a Phys. Ed. class for nearly 4 months now... and I used to be extremely active and had great abs! But I got lazy and lost them... in that class we did 8 minute abs (I'm sure you can find it somewhere on youtube) every day and in 4 weeks I had a rock hard 6 pack once again! But if you just do sit-ups, you'll have to do like 500 a day...

Oh, I'm not sure if it's a fact, but the dude in the video said that and he was ripped so he must have been telling the truth (or selling more videos)!

Right, doing sit-ups is all good and everything, but it doesn't make you loose that much weight round the stomache. it's more of a toning exercise, it'l give you a stronger and better looking stomache yes, BUT if thats covered up by loads of fat, nobody will see it.
You need to be doing cardio exercise as well, such as running, skipping etc. this will help to lose the fat around the stomache, then the sit ups will make your belly more toned.

Hey amy,
No I dont think situps are for losing belly fat. Situps are done usually for legs muscles. I do it regualrly and I do sqats which means lifitng some weight on yr shoulders and then doing situps.
For abdomen its called as abs crunches. They are meant to lose belly fat and are very effective.
Also running / jogging/ brisk walking can reduce yr belly fat. Belly fat is something which you have to really take care of. As soon as u stop exersixing they come back again. So its a very delicate area. If u feel stomach pain doing situps then some thing is wrong in yr body. SO check up and do it with some supervision from a trainer. You can check in youtube for correct leg position as well.
Stay fit and healthy!
Cheers,
Tutul

Sit up strengthen the stomach muscles and in the process I guess it is one way to get rid of the belly fats. However, when one stops doing the crunches, the belly fats returned. I feel what is more important is consistent exercise and low fat diet.

Hello amyson, when I do sit-up for the first time in my life then for the first few days one will get pains. It happens because we never physically strained our body that is why. If you play cricket and you are wicket keeper then this excercise will be done by wicket keeper until his team does bowling. One problem with sit-ups excercise is that if you do this excercise then after some days no pain will come and your muscles will become very strong. But after somedays if you discontinue this excercise then there is danger of getting fat very quickly. So, any excercise has to be done as alone as one can.
Let me tell my case, I use to do sit ups, pull ups,etc from the age of 14 years. I did it upto age of 22 but after that I stopped doing excercises and even stopped playing sports like Cricket and Badmintion. Why I sopped because excess work and I have free time in the nights and by that time I get exhausted and only like to eat and sleep. Sudden my body is gaining weight because I stopped playing and doing the excercises. So, I am know eating less but no use. I am again trying to create time for excercises only..
One will get pains continuesly if their style of doing sit-ups are not properly done. Some people will start doing this excercise when they are overweight then also pain will come but one need not have to stop. They have to start intially with some 10 sit-ups for 3 days and then increase the sit-ups from 15 and like that and soon after some days, body will get used to this excercise.. All the best..

well I found out the best and fastest way to loose belly fats is doing exercices in the water. I started a course of gym at the swimming pool (aquagym) and it works wonders. After a month I lost a lot of bellyfat (I'd have lost moe If I ate healthy stuff instead of chocolate and Red Bull :P) and I'm starting to see results all over my body: less fat (everybod tells me I lost a lot of weight and look thin now), a little bit of muscles and less cellulite. I strongly recommend it because I did sit-ups for ages and my belly fat was still sitting there :\

I don't know If there are aquagym courses where yo live but they usually include a lot f exercices for abdominal/belly fat ;) of course you also have to follow a healthy diet or else it won't work. I suck, every Monday I tell myself it's a good day t stop eating fats and then I'm like "oh well, I'll be startng next week this is the last one I eat sweets and junk food" :|

Well, I dont think that Ive ever met a person that doesnt feel muscle cramping with sit ups unless you are use to it already.
The thing about sit ups is that, it doesnt exactly get rid of the belly fat, it helps to trim your abdominal area, making it stronger, the thing is, depending on your structure, it doesnt necessarily make it more slimer. So what you have to do, aside from the sit ups are extra streching excersizes or a bit of basic yoga or Pilates to strech it more and you can notice it slimer, but tuffer!
Im losing weight right now, but doing cardiovascular for now.

I always felt extreme pain when I tried to do sit ups and it never seemed to help. I think the thing that helps is cardio and doing intervals. Meaning you can do something extreme for 10 seconds, stop for 10 seconds and repeat for about 5-20 minutes. You can do the bicycle, run, jumping jacks, or anything that gets your heart rate up. It has seemed to work a bit already.

erm actually doing sit-ups does not make you lose the belly fat at all or very little..all sit-ups do is they strengthen your abdominal muscles...only cardio exercises are proper ways to lose the fat.

How about brisk walking? I think this is for the general health of the body and might work good for the muscles too. That's because the hands and the legs are doing some work. Brisk walking has always been recommended by others, from what I hear. It's like a form of great loose exercise and you tend to sweat a lot. Especially in the early mornings. Go for it..

You have to lose weight in general before your tummy will disappear, if you only do sit ups you'll just have toned abs under your belly! Cutting calories and exercising the whole body regularly is the best place to start burning off excess fat anywhere.

yeah, sit-up is one of the exercise to lose belly fats. i am unsure whether SIT-UP the best exercise for that purpose BUT at least it would be better than just SIT DOWN in front of a computer. LOL!

Lie on your back, with both hands up straight over your head, parallel to ground. Bring both hands on to your thighs simultaneously waking up, to a sitting position. Stretch your hands to reach out to your toes. Repeat this a few more times (atleast 12 times). This helps a lot to reduce your tummy.

I believe it's not the best way but rest assured that it does work. Doing sit-ups frequently can help you loose those belly fats. The only downside is that it's a very strenuous exercise, and not all people are fond of doing sit-ups due to obvious reasons. But once again, it does work!
