Hi Amyson,
Long hours of sitting infront of the computer really makes my eyes tired, my neck shoulder and back so tensed but keeping my mind busy browsing, surfing and typing keeps me awake. no boring hour with computer...i used to do varied activities like report writing, listening to music, web research, responding to email messages, youtube and of course mylot. Stretching makes me feel good after a long hours of sitting infront of the computer.
Tiring but fun!

sedentary kind of work is not healthy like this one sitting infront of the computer for a longer period of hours... it's not only tiring it will make us gain more weight. so we really need to think of some activities or exercises that we can do in between.

My arm would twitch like crazy. Or should I say feel so cramped up. My fingers would also feel a bit sore because all the navigating with the keyboard and typing stuff, surfing the net, doing work and that kind of thing. That's why I always turn to comfort drinks like coffee and tea, which I know is not good for health, most definitely.

I kind of feel that way too. I don't really have enough time to sit long hours in front of the computer during weekdays because of school and stuff, but I do take a long time surfing the internet during weekends, or when I have a free time. Sometimes I would think of spending enough time for participating here in myLot, but I don't do that at times because I tend to find other things to do than sitting and staring at the monitor of the computer. If I am really in the mood, I wouldn't even notice the time I spent in front of the computer, but just enjoy instead. Haha. Good day! :)

Yes, it would be best if we take a break once in a while. Back pains are really getting annoying. Haha.

hi
It is but natural for a person to feel those things if she works on a computer sitting non-stop for long hours, It is important for us to atleast loose a little bit of ourselves, engaging in some other activities in between.

I think it does ware you out because tht is al my mom does her job mostly and she is so tired when she comes then when she sits down it doesn't do anything for her. She gets tired again by being on the computer when she comes home. i usually do a little bit then get back up and go at it again. Sitting too long makes me numb.

hi amyson,
I don't have any idle time sitting for many hours in front of the computer but yes, there are some physical discomforts such eye strain and backache at times. At work my main job is through the computer and my only break is during lunch time and when I go to the washroom. Nonetheless, I'm actually having great time with my computer activities. Good Day!

I sit in front of my laptop for more than 4 hours a day. But in between those times, I will take my eyes off of it and play with my girl or to do other stuffs around the house. I don't get too bored with it but tired, yes! Sometimes I feel intense pain at the back of my neck. And I am 23! Must be the wrong sitting position because I am lazy :D
One tip that I read somewhere : Every 30 minutes of time spent in front of your PC, do some eye exercises. Focus on a particular item as far as possible outside the house for 5 minutes.

Tired and bored when there is nothing much to do or I am engaged in things that I am not interested on. Bored also when I am not in the mood and feel a little bit unproductive. Can you guess my disposition right now???
You are absolutely right if your guess is I am not in the mood. I am really not in the mood. I just had a petty fight with someone. I am on killing time right now.
Still hope you have a nice day amyson!

the fact is yes. but who feels tired and bored when in exchange you can find valuable information in the internet. i havent been online late since i was too busy catching up with so many activities in school and when i get to sit in front of the computer, i feel like i am a walking encyclopedia especially if i stay on for a long period of time..

Not as much anymore. I spend a lot less time at the computer now, and I make a point to get up and do something every once in awhile so that I don't get sore and tired.

Hi Amyson,
When I was younger I used to spend pretty much all day on the computer without having any adverse effects. I think I only managed that because what I was doing was pretty much writing a book with other people, so my brain was constantly engaged. I also listened to music a lot so though I would be sitting, typing and thinking, I would also be moving around dancing, so my body was stimulated as well.
These days the way I use the computer has changed, and so my tolerance for being here has changed too. I find that if I am doing anything job related, or if I am filling in surveys on banking or other dull topics, I tend to end up really tired really quickly. But if I am playing Bejewelled on facebook, or maybe writing an e-mail to my best friend, then I can remain happy and stimulated for many hours again.
At work though I find it boring at times. Once I got so tired and bored that I went and started pacing while listening to music until my mind has sufficiently recovered for me to resume my work, because otherwise I would just have fallen asleep! Luckily I have my own room so I didn't get any funny looks, but that is the worst I have ever had.
Normally I am pretty happy in front of a computer for many hours a day, just as long as what I am doing is interesting lol
All the best,
Dranz

As long as I am doing something I am into then I wouldn't get bored or tired. I can stay on all night and stuff. I don't get tired easily unless I watch movies or listen to music while I am on it. I fell asleep once staying on the computer for hours though. It was funny. :)
