I do am guilty of this. many times there are some random blessings that come my way that i just ignore easily. cause i thought that they will come my way any time so i can reject or ignore them . but sometimes the same blessings when ignore will not get back to us that easily. so i learned to appreciate things and give importance to whatever blessings and opportunities that come my way. i am not still expert in seeing things as it is. sometimes what i thought to be a blessing will turn out to be a disappointment in the end. and sometimes what i thought was not important or will not bring any good turn out to be the very blessing i am looking from the start.
Hope that i will not take things any more for granted. i have many blessings passed by me and i can't afford to lose any more of those blessing slip away from my hands.

I try not too but I think just about everyone ends up taking something for granted. Most importantly I try not to take my realtionships with people such as my friends and family for granted because I'm so happy that I can be that connected to that good of people.

it is great that you have not taken things for granted in terms with your relationship with your friends and relatives and family.

yeah we should be a blessing to others. but no matter how rich we are or capable , we should accept blessing too. cause every one has a need one way or another. it is a sin also not to accept those blessing.

the same thing with me. it just hurts me realizing what big mistake i made when i take things for granted. i end up losing big time. i may be able to recover from the loss of money but loss of important people in our lives is quite hard to get over with.

Good, actually I must admit that I gave to be grateful and thankful for everything everyone gives me, I call it as bless. I will never let someone takes the blessing away from my hand, once I have it on my hand I will try and do my best to keep it because I believe sometimes same blessing doesn't come twice. =)
In the meantime, I don't want to regret for everything I lost, even if it is very hard to do so and can't forget whatever the reason is. But I just want to see everything I've got rather than everything I'm still waiting. =)

Its hard to take things for granted when everything comes your way with so much effort.
If you have it easy then you might fall into this trap and a trap it is.
After the good years come the bad and then you realise how wrong you were about a lot of things.
Never take a single thing for granted.

Hi hotsummer,
I think as children we take things for granted, and that's ok, we don't know any better, but as for me, I used to, now I don't, I look at friends and family and knowing that life changes in an instant, I love them now, and tell them.
When I have some down time or when I'm in my garden, doing yard work, I stop and look at things and absorb the beauty of flowers, grass, sky, little animals, etc; and I thank God for all things. I think to my self, what a gift we have, a moment of life to be here and have this experiance. That was a little deep. - I don't take for granted that I live in a free country, that I have a roof over my head,
my religion, when I wake up each day, when I feel healthy, I pray ever night, for my loved ones, and I THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING, GOD BLESS

I guess it's easy to take things for granted. There are so many things to be grateful for each day - being healthy, having good friends, being loved, loving someone, having enough to eat and money to spend... If we'd be grateful all day we wouldn't have time to enjoy it.
We only know what these things really mean, when we lose them. It is good to remember this at times.
