my baby is rather fussy today. she refuses to eat, or at least cries while she does, and even has less milk intake. she cries quite a lot, not really a lot, but more than usual, because she is not really fussy. it was only yesterday that i wrote that she is such a good baby. she does not have fever, she is neither too warm nor too cold--i have checked on that. i touched her gums of the lower jaw and it seems rather hard, and the two teeth are like jutting out already, but still they are still not out of the gums yet. maybe she is having a hard time. she is already 7 months old, or at least by sunday, so it is probably the teeth. but i am not really sure. she would rather that i just carry her and carry her. what do you think? why is my baby fussing? take care all and happy parenting!

spoiled indeed she is teething and her gums hurt so just'bear with her as she is in some pain. love her and be real patient 'with her that is why she is fussing as she is too little to understand why she is hurting. Once they are through the gums she won't hurt so much so just take it easy And be proud your baby is getting her first teeth.

Ahh, poor little darlin'. Your baby doesn't have any way of letting you know she isn't feeling well except by fussing a bit and being clingy. Babies need comfort in an effort to help them understand that everything is okay. Teething is tough on the baby and the mama too! Do you have a hotline where you can speak to a nurse? We have Dial-a-Nurse hear, and they are excellent in cases like this. As long as she is drinking (and going to the bathroom), all you can really do is keep on eye on her temperature, and offer her as much cuddling as she needs. If anything at all seems out of the ordinary, and beyond just a little fussing, take her to the doctor or clinic (better safe than sorry).

I would as well make the assumptin that it is her teethig... give her a nice cold washcloth to suck on and a bit of oragel. Montior her tempurtaure as well as how long she sleeps ( if she will) Listen to her fuss her cry.. is it a loud shrieking one? one that shows that she is in pain? ho have her bowels been she could be constiapted... Its really YOU that knows your baby, go by YOUR instict.. if you feel tha something is wrong there is NO HARM in heading to the doctors or calling the nurse hotline... it is probably just her teething ,but then if your not so sure YOU are the best judge on wether or not she needs medical attention.. i hope all goes well.. take care and god bless!

I'm certainly no doctor but I would stab at teething. My daughter didn't have a fever when she was teething but became very clingy when she wasn't feeling well. Cuddle with her a few days, it can't hurt. And by Monday if she hasn't improved, try calling the doctor.
