First off if you have a food co-op in your area I would go there. Or a farmer's market. READ THE LABEL. If there are alot of other things listed besides the honey then you know you aren't getting good and pure honey. Royal jelly is a healer and sooths digestion or anything like that. Honey is nutrition with B Vitamins just to start. Eat it! Get your kids to eat it! Enjoy!

Feel lucky. In some areas people don't have that opportunity.

Hi Bart, The benefits of honey go beyond its great taste. A great natural source of carbohydrates which provide strenght and energy to our bodies, honey is known for effectiveness in instantly boosting the performance, endurance and reduce muscle fatigue during exercise. The glucose in honey is absorbed by the body quickly and gives an immediate energy boost, while the fructose is absorbed more slowly providing sustained energy. It is known that honey has alsobeen found to keep levels of blood sugar fairly constant compared to other types of sugar. Anyway Bart, my source of these is Benefits-of-honey.com. If your interested theres alot of information there..Happy mylotting....

Hi Vannice, you need to go back in and state your source in your other box as otherwise it breaks the guidelines - you probably have already as it looks like a cut and paste job which you aren't allowed to do as new member. I'd just have a good read through the rules if I were you.

I don't buy my honey at the grocery store because some of it has sugar or fructose corn syrup added. I get mine from a health food store and the honey is raw not pasteurized like that found in the grocery store. Pasteurizing kills the good benefits of the honey. The jar should also say pure honey on it if it is pure honey.

I don't know whether it's true or not, but I ever heard someone saying that there is no ants wants to come to pure honey. If the ants are coming to your honey, then it is not pure.

Hi Bart, I may be repeating the copy and paste job above me but I never bother reading those. One of the great benefits of honey is it works against allergies but you need to make sure you buy local honey as it apparenlty has some resistance against the local pollens which can cause bouts of sneezing etc at certain times of the year. If you suffer from anything like that then take a teaspoon of local honey a day for a few months before the pollen season starts and you'll emerge through it unscathed.
