If you have the money and there is someone in your city or town, find a voice teacher. I think you can find them in the colleges or universities. If you do not have that much money you can go on the net and find a good singing program. I would recommend going to http://www.reviewsnest.net/SingingLessons/Conclusions.htm. They are good, and try to get one that includes musical theory. They also recommend that you further your training by going to a voice teacher (I took one and I have a friend who used to be a classical singer and another who taught choir to help me._ Also get yourself a keyboard to practice the notes, plus a recorder so you can see what you sound like. Oh I sounded terrible. I have a soft voice and I was off key in the high notes, but am getting better.

I am not a good singer but i know how to sing and i love singing; For my experience how to sing well, just keep on practicing, listen to the music or to the songs that you're going to sing, and when you sing get the air from your diaphragm not on your throat and most of all sing from the heart. i hope it can help you

Be confident and just sing up! That's my suggestion, but I can't sing well either, and the fact is, I don't sing at all in public but at my home, and I only sing to my wife, maybe it is not singing at all, but voice out some melody...LOL

Hi Colthrtz, I also like singing. When I was at my high school, my father bought me a karaoke player for me to sing at home anytime I like. I sing almost every weekend. From all my sibling, only I myself like singing. I can sing English and Bahasa Indonesia and some Mandarin songs(with Hanyun pinyin). You can always get a karaoke player at home,so that you can practice your songs everytime when you are free. Or you can attend some singing classes. Actually, singing need alot of practices. We have to control our voices and by practising , we can sing better day by day.

Practice, practice, practice. Maybe hire a vocal coach if you can afford one, or join a church choir or a similar type of group to help you . I also love to sing, and I most definitely am awful at it. My mom always says that when I sing, I make it storm. But I love it, and it makes me happy, so I do it all the time. In the end, who cares if you cannot sing well? Do whatever makes you happy :)

For two years, I was a voice major in college. It was a tough concentration. Voice lessons are difficult, if you are expected to study classical music, which is what most of them are based upon. In addition, you will most certainly need to be able to sight sing the music you sing. Therefore, you must be able to read music and sight sing accurately and reasonably quickly to stay with the tempo of the muscic you will be assigned. Since you will have to practice the music with piano accompanining your vocals, you will need to play piano reasonably well and up to the speed of the pieces you are practicing on. If singing well is a priority, try a college that offers it, however, beware of how high their expectations of their students may be. Ask if you need to be able to play piano or read music, etc. Otherwise, you will need to have some expertice in piano, music theory, and reading/sight singing music. If singing is not a priority to you, skip the vocal lessons and the frustration. If, on the other hand, you still want to sing well for your own pleasure and other's enjoyment, try some of the voice coaching CD's or downloads online. You can learn keyboard that way as well. It is much less demanding than formal voice lessons and a smidgeon of the price. In the end, you will be able to sing well enough to sound good and stay on pitch. Happy singing from a mellow mezzo.

Try to enroll yourself in a voice lesson class. Everyone can sing, it differs only in the quality of one's voice

I believe that singing is a skill, not a talent, no one is born with that so - called "gift". I can say that it is a skill because it can be learned. Maybe having a good quality of voice is the talent but as long as you can produce the right pitch that corresponds to the right note of the song you are singing, YOU DEFINITELY KNOW HOW TO SING! I know how to sing but I am not a good singer according to some strict standards of ballad singers, how did I do that? PATIENCE and PRACTICE.. Nothing beats practicing your favorite song first inside your comfort room, then, to a smaller crowd, and your skill will be developed, and CONFIDENCE and STAGE PERFORMANCE will follow. But the true challenge here is do you have the guts to take the challenge? DETERMINATION dude, you will need a lot of it. BELIEVE that if I can do it, you can also. IF THERE'S A WILL THERE'S A WAY.

well colthrtz, singing, is the same to other activities, if you want to do it well, you will have to take pains to pratice. I think it will be a good idea if you can go to KTV often, and pratice your singing there, and try to record your voice, and listen your own voice, so that you know what's the drawbacks of your singing skill Are you going to attend to any singing match??

Initially have faith in yourself.. and don't take words from anyone who hurts you. And try try again..until you reach your level best. Have in mind that " Practice makes perfect" , so practice well. So we are all expecting a new MJ from you.. all the best...
