Help with my blogger/new domain

I started out over a year ago with creating my own blog as an outlet for my writing and photography. Recently a lot of bands have been asking that I take photos of them performing and they have been using these pictures all over the web. I decided it was time to start putting my name or something at the bottom of my photos so that people know who took them and who to talk to if they want someone to photograph them.
I came up with a better idea, though. Instead of stamping my name at the bottom of the picture, I would stamp my blog URL so people know where to find me if they need me. I decided having a blogspot address would look unprofessional, so I opted to buy my domain name through blogger and google. But where is it!?
I can't find the URL I requested and it said that I paid and had my own domain name, so where is it!? How long does it take for the domain to be able to be used? I am supposed to be taking photos tonight for a pretty big show and I want to be able to tell people that they can simply go to xxxxxxxxxx.com to see all of the photos, but I don't want to tell people that if the url is going to continue saying that it isn't found.
Someone help me, please?

Sometimes it may take up to 48 hours for your new domain name to kick in. Check to see that the name of the link is pasted correctly. If so, then it's probably just a matter of waiting until the domain manager has updated the site.
I would go ahead and start using the name, and let people know that it is out there. Odds are, they aren't going to check it right away. I know when I get business cards from people, it usually takes me a couple of days at least to go in and take a look at their work.
Plus, you have the emailed receipt showing that the domain name belongs to you. It might take a little bit to get the bugs worked out, but at least you know that it's the right domain name. The odds of you changing it at this point are pretty slim since you already paid for it.

Where did you get your site hosted? You can own a domain name, and not be hosted, and if you aren't hosted, then you aren't on the web.
Hope that helps, maybe a few days late, I have been really behind on my computer stuff lately.
