Hi jjaywang
I like to drink lots of water. I know they tell us to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. I think we should consume more than that. I know when I was dieting that I tried to drink at least a gallon of water in 24 hours. I know that sounds like alot but it worked for me. Great discussion and have a great day..Keep smiling..

We all need to drink 8 glasses of water and even more to keep us healthy. Having enough water in our body does not only keep us healthy but it also keep our skin beautiful, have our bowel movement regular and prevents us from being dry and dehydrated.
My friend advise me to take 4 glasses of water upon waking up. Don't gargle instead drink 4 glasses of water it will cleanse our body and will really help us have our bowel movement. Wait for 30-45 minutes before taking anything for breakfast. you can try this... anyway there's no harm in trying.

I don't drink water at all, I don't like the taste. I know that this is a bad thing but I just cannot help it. I guess I receive my water intake by drinking lots and lots of tea! Tea is my favourite drink and so I hydrate myself this way. I have heard about the idea of drinking at least eight glasses of water per day and I'm thinking how this can be achieved if you don't actually like water like me. I just wish they would come up with flavoured water or something and not leave it so plain and boring! I suppose I could buy some of those orange drinks where you dilute them with water, this would be one step closer I think! Andrew

I am taking daily 5 to 6 bottles a day (half litres). I am trying to drink more and i think i will do the same in a weeks time. Yes i accept that if there is no water it creates disease on our body.

Hi.jjaywang you are absolutely right,one must take enough water.Water is a wonderful gift of god.Life cannot be imagined without water.Water consumption is very important for human body.I make it a point to drink eight glasses of water everyday and sometimes even more.I know its uneasy to drink so much,so i usually fill in the water bottles of two litre volume,i feel more water can be easily gulped when we use water bottle for drinking.Water not only helps in preventing dehydration problems but also removes toxin and makes your skin glow with more health.

I drink about 12 glasse of water a day. It keeps my digestive system strong, eyes clear, and blood pure. We all have studied about it in our class 8th or 9th biology classes. This shows you had your mind somewhere out of the classroom.

One should drink atleast 8 to 10 glasses of water.To keep the digestive system good water is very essential.

I totally agree with you. Water doesn't only hydrate the body, but it helps keep the muscles and joints lubricated so they don't become stiff and sore. I also heard on a news segment that drink water provides people with energy and helps keep the mind better focused.

I am not very fond of water. But I don't have a problem with constipation and dehydration. I am not sure about my kidneys hehe...

At least have to drink 8 glasses of water in a day.
As for me, I never measure how much water I drink in a day. Whenever I feel thirsty, I will drink a glass of water.
In order to avoid heatiness in my body, I drink either greenbean soup or barley water everyday,it helps to keep me healthier everyday.
I let my boy drink plenty of water as he is consuming milk formula everynight.
Milk formula is quite heaty too,so drinking water after milk is the best practice to keep him stay healthy always.

Water whose other name is life is one of the basic and most essential requirement of every living being.Our body needs water to conduct various metabolic activities for the well functioning o the body.But how much water should we consume per day?
water is the basic requirement so a daily consumption of 2 to 3 liters is required in normal but for the persons who do lot of physical labour or work in the hot sun daily consumption of 5 to 6 liters is required.
So friends never forget to drink water even if you are busy and this negligence will lead to health problems...

Hey jjaywang,
Its something I probably shouldn't be advising anybody about, cos I'm bad at it myself. But I'm working on it. Yes we need at least 8 glasses of water a day. As a start, I'm keeping a count of the glasses I drink so it becomes a habit eventually.

It is recommended that adults have 8 cups, or 2 liters of water daily. This is enough to replenish all the water that is depleted from your body throughout the day through perspiration and waste, as well as cell regeneration.
I try to make sure I fill up a 2 liter bottle each day and drink the whole thing. Sometimes it's hard, but usually I'm able to stick to the routine.

The best or recommeded amount is 5-8 glasses a day. What they don't tell you is that you shouldnt drink all that at once, make sure its spread evenly throughout the day.
