How loyal are you in giving tithe every month?Initially I wasn't happy to giv my hard earned money to church, later I realised that as a gods child I should do wat is written in the bible.. SO I am giving the same to the poor and needy which gives me peace and satisfaction:)

do we pay every week, month or year? and gross income is it before taxes or after taxes and what about overtime should that be added also as gross income? and what about if we have to incomes should we add both together and then give 10%?

I tithe at the beginning of every month or the 2nd or 3rd week depending on whether I am able to attend our church. I could not do so for the last few weeks and had to attend the other one on the other side of the area because they were building a wheelchair lift. But I find that if you give the tithe before you use the rest of your money that it feels a lot better. That small percentage is all God demands and it is used to pay the minister's or pastor's salary and for the upkeep of the church so your tithe is used to further the Kingdom of God. If people did not tithe, then there would be no mission fields, the minister would have to work at an outside job and his sermon would not be as good, the church would need extensive repairs, etc. As for having less to use after you give it (of course, those who are unable to afford the whole ten percent will give what they can and those who want to give more will do so) somehow even though you may spend the money on the same things as you did before, for some reason you get more. Maybe it is because you do not waste or maybe it is because God sends others to help you but somehow God finds a way to bless you.

I think it's much better if you gonna donate it yourself. You're right! It does give satisfaction to the giver. And besides, giving tithes or offerings at church is an optional thing. If you ask me, I'd rather give my donations myself, straight to the hands of the needy ones. So yeah, we're basically on the same side.

Hello..as my knowledge in tithing is concerned,we are supposed to give our tenth of our earnings back to the Lord, but sometimes we cant comply for some reasons and one of it we are worried we will be out of our budget or we are thinking we are earning just enough to settle our bills and provide for our daily needs and if we give our tenth then we will end up broke the whole month. At first, it is really hard to accept this teaching but lets take it slowly.Eventually, we will just realized we are already tithing our 90% of earning and yet the abundance is still pouring on us.
