U.S President Barack Obama Celebrated Diwali on Thursday by lightning ceremonial lamp at he white house amidst chanting of vedic mantras Seeking World peace. He is the First president to Personally Grace the Occasion.
It is Very Nice For Some to Encourage the festivals of Other Religions. i too have many christian Friends and teachers whom i wish them over phone during their Festival season...any way thanks To Obama and I hope every one celebrates Diwali on this Saturday..... HAPPY DIWALI .

I completely agree with chandratvn, Mr. Obama must be the first president of the United States of America to celebrate Diwali, (the festival of light). I'm myself a christian, but i also have lots of friends from different religions, and i try to celebrate each different festival with my friends. I give my highest respects and praise to Mr. Obama for being broad minded and promoting world peace and harmony through such deeds and gestures. I also want to wish each and everyone in mylot a very happy diwali. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

That's very interesting to know. I do agree with the fact that, festivals from different religions must be celebrated together or the least we can do is wish them for the festival.
