Hi deserve, Well, I think its easy to get yourself motivated. You need to believe in yourself. Believe in yourself will add more confident. You need to realize your potential and strength. I know we all have weakness but how we hide our weakness. Don't let your weakness shadow your strength.

That is right...! Work on your strong points and your weakness will get shadowed and you will start feeling confident. If you start feeling confident then anutomatically your attitude changes and you feel motivated. Most successful people are self-motivated people.

I guess motivation is different from person to person. And it has a lot to do with your mental patterns and self control. My strongest motivation appears for example, when I don't know something. The curiosity to find an answer and the beauty of knowledge is enough for me. But things are musch deeper then this, because you are not always looking for answers. Indeed, to believe in yourself and your unlimited skills is a must. But also is to try doing always what you like and not what you are required to. And if it's not possible for the moment, try to motivate yourself thinking that you have to do this in order to to what you want. It kindda works...

I feel like differing with you here. Not much skills are needed to believe in yourself. Infact it is something inside you only and you just have to recognise it. Just keep telling yourself...."I can do it". And try honestly to do the things, it is not necessary that you will have to do only those things which you like to do, but if you are sincere about your goals, you will never feel disliking for doing anything that brings near to your achieving your goals.

It is good that you have realized that you have some responsibilities towards your daughter. You know very well the value of parents in the life of child. So if you are not strong enough, your child will have more problems. It is good chance to come out more strongly for the better future of your child. The problems are part of everybody's life but as a responsible person you have to get along well and for you, your daughter provides good motivation. May God bless you and your daughter.... cheer up and remember "Every dark cloud has a silver lining".

I like this topic! My way of keeping myself motivated is that I always think of the positive thoughts as it controls your emotions and your emotions causes action and your action gives the results.. So if you're always thinking negatively, your emotions, actions and the results will also be negative while if you imply positive thoughts, you'll have positive emotions and make positive actions thus you get positive results. Just believe in yourself and always do your best in everything you do then success will follow.. Have faith in GOD that he had given you skills and talents and it's just up for you to use it effectively..

Thanks for sharing your views on this topic. You have nicely analyzed the process of getting positive results. Positive thoughts-Positive Emotions- Positive Actions- Postivie Results. It is important that you keep thinking positively so that your actions are also positive and the help you to achieve your goals. One more thing you have rightly mentioned is "faith in God". It is very important to have faith in God because, it also helps you to remain positively and make you feel that whatever is going to happen is going to be good thing only.

Well, I am unemployed, and have very little to spend to enjoy everyday living...so I can easily be depressed and unmotivated. For the first few weeks that I was unemployed, I sat on this computer looking for a job, and doing mylot, and playing games, because I just felt like giving up, and didn't want to start all over with a new job again. But then I realized that I was only ruining my health by sitting here day in day out on my computer. So now, each day I make a list of things I want to do around the house, projects I have wanting to finish, I volunteer at my church, etc. And I make myself get up off this computer and start doing them. At the end of the day, I am quite proud of myself that I have accomplished many things that I never thought I would.

When you do not have any activity in your hand, it is quite possible that you get drawn towards unwanted things. However, here our own will power and self-motivation comes in play. If we are self-motivated, we will soon give up that frustration and start thinking positively and start doing something that can make us feel satisfied. Sitting in front of computer is not wrong but if it is not good for your health, you should avoid it. You have done right thing by organizing yourself by making a list of the things you want to do and I think that at the end of day if you check and find that most of those things you have done sucessfully, you will get satisfaction and feel self-motivated. I hope that this will lead you to some respectable life and you will always feel proud for doing something worth yourself.

In your case your religious faith works as a good motivator. I also agree with you that me must keep faith in God and do prayers. You are lucky to find time to do prayers 5 times in a day. Please keep it up. Spred the holy message of religion that is "Love to all Humans". Happy mylotting...!

I've seen a lot of setbacks myself as well, but it is important to realize that setbacks are a passing phase. They invariable fade away in time if not transcended, so I will try and let go of them and forge ahead. But hey, that is easier said than done, and I have no intention of playing down the daunt of setbacks. The only way out probably is to anticipate them and be prepared to face the worst, all the while swearing by never taking things for granted.

Yes, it is very very important to keep ourselves motivated, to keep ourselves on fire in doing something. I keep myself motivated by remembering my goal everytime I do something, let say achievement upon completing it. And I'm very grateful for family and friends I have, because they always advice me everything good whenever I was not motivated. =)

So your family members are good motivators for you. You are really lucky for having a family which is very supportive and more importantly, they are in position to motivate you. In modern days' times, sometimes the families do not get sufficient time even to provide moral support to the family members.

I have read one adage saying that Motivation gets you started and habit is what keeps you going. I strongly believe it. We do have to make a conscious effort to make feel a brand new start every day. My mother is always on the negative mood. I told her to try to see things in a different way. I also believe that thinking positive makes a whole lot difference. We should try to make ourselves motivated in times like this.

I just focus on my goal and think about my family especially my two sons with autism. They always bring me back to reality and motivated me to work hard give my best in everything i do because they inspire me with the kind of struggle they are facing to cope with studies, social interaction and integration into the mainstream program and positively responding to therapies. I will do everything for my family no idle times --always on the go. Thanks god for giving me a very supportive partner and a bestfriend...my husband!

Some times your responsibilities are also good motivators like in your case. It is good that you are focussed on your goals. If your focus is on your goals, then you are sure of making it one day. Your responsibilities are high especially to your sons. It is really very nice thing that your sons are responding positively to the therapies being given to them. I think that you are very lucky to have your bestfriend as your life partner and particularly because he is very supportive. I think that both of you can become motivators for each other. May God bless both of you and your sons. Have faith in God and in yourself, your sons will be doing well in days to come...Good luck.

How do you keep yourself motivated. This is a very meaningful topic. Although this topic's meaning glows brightly for helping other path walkers, there is a misconception in "motivation". I don't believe in motivation personally. Yes, sudden bursts of influence may bring us ahead for awhile, yet it's temporary supply of strength does not last long. I'll give an example: After audiences attend motivational shows, they feel powerful, and able to achieve anything in their life. Although this feel is genuine, but as junk food's supply of energy, it doesn't satisfy. Moreover, the feeling vanishes after 1 week, or even worse, 1 day. I figure that there is another way to "motivate" self ; it works better than actual motivation. The most important principle, achievers do not depend on efforts. 100% efforts does not work. The 1st tip: Don't be pessimistic. :D Always be happy will achieve your goal. Although this may be unbelievable, scientists have proven the optimal outcomes as working. This method must be used when you fail--think positively. The 2nd tip: Choose your best friend (or a trustworthy and optimistic person) to support you. It's always relaxing and filling with awe as your best friend kindly softens your pain. Hope you enjoyed my post! :D. May you succeed in life. :D Remember, never give up! :D

I feel like agreeing with you that motivation should be on going process. If you are motivated for some time only, then it does not serve any purpose and you will not be able to achieve many things in life. However, I have started this discussion with this point in mind. I feel that to KEEP yourself motivated is very important and for that we have to be optimastic, keep trying till the end. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to have someone who keeps one motivated in almost all the situations. Thanks for responding. Happy myloting.

Hi buping..! I feel sorry about your loosing your lover. However, I would like to suggest you to use this lose as a motivation. You should keep telling yourself "So what he has abandoned me..! I will live even better life without him. God has made me an individual and I must find enjoyable, respectable life for myselt". Sometimes even such looses work as good motivators. So why not to try this way...Hope you will find even better parter. May God bless you.

From where I stand, ups and downs are common in our life. So, keeping motivated is not an easy thing to do. Self-motivation is something that doesn't come easy to a lot of people and that means that there are some steps that need to be taken before you can become motivated to the fullest extent. In order to keep yourself motivated all the time, you should devise a plan that reminds you of what you need to be doing. Of course, Small rewards can make real big difference if you want to keep others motivated. Both you and me can make a difference! Happy myLotting!

It is very common thing in anybody's life that the ups and downs come and it all depends on individuals how they face them. Motivation of one's ownself does not come so easily but more important is that one has to try honestly to keep oneself motivated somehow. It is a good idea to keep yourself reminding your goals and that will make you think more and work more towards achievement of your goals. Thanks for responding...!

good day there was always tough times in my life but still i still keep myself dreaming because i wanted to reach my goal. be confident that you can do it no matter how difficult it is but you still have to focus on the things you want. just learn every mistake you make and do it better the next time around.Perseverance would be the best way to do it.
