I just would like to thank everyone that has kept Gissi in their Thoughts and sent healing thoughts to him, he is not over the Barrel yet but has eaten a bit today and had a bit more Life in him
A Friend who breads Dogs phoned me last Night and told me he has all the signs of the Dog Tummy flu that is going round the UK she advised me what to do and it certainly is working
He is still coughing bad and that but he is not lack of the energy he was yesterday thank you everyone from Gissi and me
People who know me here know how much and precious this little Man is to me
Hugs to you all and our Love

I am so sorry Gabs I must have missed the discussion about Gissi not being his usual perky self. I am so very happy to hear he is improving.
I took Schatzie to vet on Wednesday for her annual check up and shots and was surprised at the amount of literature on Dog Flu. It seems to be quite widespread here in the US and the vet is advising my dogs get a flu shot. As Schatzie's visit set me back $95.00 I cannot afford it this month but will think about it.
Please let Gissie know that Schatzie, Pepi and Honey all send him love and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

bless him, he's a dear little soul and hopefully will be getting better as soon as possible. I was most upset to hear he wasn't well, and i was talking about him at work today. i am sure all the positive thoughts winging their way in his direction are also helping too. hugs to you both

Gabs, I hope Gissi is well real soon. I know how you must feel about your little guy as I have 4 guys that are my life here. I have 1 that is on two pain pills per days or he just cries and screams. I can not take this. He must have his medicine even though it $200 a month.
One of my other little boys has a bladder or is it kidney problem. He always seem to have a fever and a virus or infection. His medicine is not very high but he feels bad much of the time. I hate it when any of my babies feel bad or or sick. I'd rather be sick for them.
I do hope sincerely that Gissi is well real soon.
Hugs, Moondancer

Thank you Gabs, a big hug to you and Gissi too. Hugs are always welcome. They help us feel better in spirit. I gave my big boy some vanilla ice cream a bit ago to settle his tummy. He has been trying to throw up for an hour or so. I thought that would help his tummy. I finally found something that he would take...lol. When they are sick they are finicky, I have the two being that way now. I feel so bad for them.
Take care and Gissi will be better soon. My boys will be better too. They have good and bad days just like we do.

It is very scary Ambie believe me
I get scared because I know Gissi has the heart problem, so I get even more scared
But he is on the way to recovery as this morning when he got up he came to me to say Good morning and he hasn't done that for the last 2 Mornings

That's good news about the little fellow Gabs; thank goodness your friend who breeds dogs gave you the information you needed to help Gissi through this. At least he is starting to eat a little now, so that will build up his energy to fight whatever kind of tummy bug he has.
We all know how much he means to you sweetie, and we are all there for you - and him.

I came to this discussion late, but I am glad that Gissi is doing better now. I know how hard it is to watch them be sick and not know what to do for them. We can comfort them, but it is still very difficult when we do not know how to take away their pain and make them feel better. I am glad that you got some good advice that worked, and hopefully by now he is back to his normal self.

Hi there Purple
He is better much better now
But his Heart is giving him a bit of bother but I know how to deal with that I know the time is closer that he has to be on Medications for it but he is back to being Gissi and not the Gissi any more that was just lying there and not wanting to do any thing
My Friend certainly gave me good advise on how to deal with it

I am glad to hear that he is doing better and back to his "old" self. I am sorry to hear that he has heart problems, but it sounds like you have everything under control and know what to do to take care of it. I hope that he stays healthy and happy, even if he will eventually have to be on medication.

Oh no Jeanna I am so sorry to read this
What you need to do is get a Syringe and squirt water into his mouth gently as he needs to have liquid down him or he will dehydrate
Poor Jackal I hope he gets better I really do
Give your Mum a Hug from me and tell her I will keep the little Man in my thoughts
Gissi and I met a blind Lady Dog the other Night on our walk and she was going by her owners sound
Well Gissi went up to her and not his bouncy self but gentle and she followed the little Man everywhere it was sweet but sad to watch
The little Man ran of though after a little while as he wanted to have a run and left the poor little Dog in the middle of the Grass and of course she did not know which way to go
I did say to Gissi that was not nice, but he just looked at me as if to say "What have I done now"
lol I guess he was confused as of course he would not have known that the poor little thing could not see
But please Jeanna tell your Mum my thoughts are with you all
Big Hugs to you all

I have been force feeding my elderly cat for over a week, every hour and today he caught and ate half of a mouse. So I gather he is on the mend, but if I can get a 14 year old cat through this I know that you with your loving care can get Gissi through it and we will all see him up to his old perky self soon. Blessing
