Ok, if you are student, you might pay your visit to your school or local library more often? Do you ever find library is a fun place to visit? I doubt that many people would say so. Actually, sometimes, I quite enjoy spending time in library, even though I am not in school anymore. I could find many free reading resources, such as magazines, and newspapers that I don't subscribe for. I can also enjoy finding my favorite authors' best selling books for free. How about you, do you enjoy to be in library? Or you can't barely stand going in there, because reading is not your thing to consider?

While I was still in school, I loved going to the library. I would sometimes spend my time just hanging out there looking for nice books to read. I usually look for old/classic literature books. These days though, I don't go to the library any more. I just do most of my reading at home or online. I've never been to my city's public library before, and I think it's mostly equipped for those still in school.

I like library, what is the problem with it? It has all the things we want. The books, CDs, DVDs, and etc...... We can learn from library, and we have access to the internet on library. It is a great place to be.

In high school, I used to go to the library since they have wonderful books back in our library. In college, I rarely go to our library. I usually went there only to have emergency researches. I hate going to our library because it is situated in the last floor. And the stairs going there is very steep.

So, because the location of the library prohibit you to access to the library is the main reason you no longer to go there any more? If I am interest in going there, and make my research, I won't mind at all. But I understand your reason, not convenient.

I basically visit my local library whenever I feel like I want to check out a new book or try and find something new to read. I haven't been there in a while though because I've bought a lot of books and I'm trying to get through some of my own books so that way I don't have more books sitting around waiting to be read.

we go on a weekly basis. Our library has many functions for all ages that we love going to. They are both free and educational. We just went to one when an archaeologist came to discuss his last trip in Egypt and what they found. It was for families so the kids learned quite a bit and we where all very interested.

I enjoy reading books. When i was in college i used to visit library everyday, sometimes for borrowing academic books and most of the times it was to borrow novels. And whenever i was free in campus i would put myself in corner of library and grab some good monthly magazines and read those for hours.Visiting college library was really a fun as i would get all i want with so much of ease with out any extra expense,as i was not getting enough pocket money to spend on novels and magazines. But unfortunately i finished my college and now find it so hard to find some good novels at reasonable prices.I searched for some public libraries near home and got myself registered as a member over there but my bad luck those public libraries do get everyday newspapers, business magazines but they do not have novels of my interest.

Hi clorissa123!
I often visit our local library. There are a lot of reading materials there that I can use for many needs. One would be for my lectures. There are also times when I have to work on other important papers related to my work and the references available in the local library are very helpful. I must admit though that a lot of improvements are needed for our local library.

I don't visit the library very often anymore as I have the internet now and can do all my research online. I do miss the library though...maybe I should go someday and just hang out there and look at all the books!

I used to visit the library a lot since I love to read. But now that I am getting busy with life and work, I have not visited any library ever since. Usually, I just go online and search for something I want to know or want to study. The technology has surely change the way we do things.

I visit the library like 4 times in a year. Every year we have to read 4 books for English. I don't like reading so I don't go to the library that much. For information I just use the internet. It's a lot easier :D

I'm in the same situation, a forienger who can't read the lanuage of the country she's living in. But our local library is great for my kids who are bilingual. My oldest son goes at least 3 times a week, sometimes more and I take my youngest once a week. I gat out cook books, if they have enough pictures I can usaully work out the Japanese enough to follow the recipes. Also there is an English language newspaper that I look through.
But I miss a library with loads of books that i can read, guess I should learn Japanese!!!!!

i go to the library once every month to take some interesting books, i think i'll go next week, to take some books about DIY. I've can go to others library too beacause every library here has a permission, i mean that if you want to take books from a library you need this permission, and every library has a different one.

I used to like visiting school library or local library when I was studying. It's a place where I can find lots of resources when the Internet was not commonly used in those days when I was still a student. I also like to study in the library, as there was no other distraction, and I could concentrate on the books only. But, ever since I left the school, I seldom go to library anymore. It's because I do not really like the local library in my city, also I prefer to find resources in the Internet nowadays.

I only go to the library for the friends of the library book sales so I can buy books for like $1. You have to get there early and really search but I alwayd leave with a bag of books. All public libraries pretty much have a freinds of the library sales so you should check the calendar of your local library to find out when they are having one in your area.

I love to read and peruse a library but our local library is about 25 miles away. I live in a small mountain village and due to gas prices, I don't get down the mountain very much and when I do it is for running errands/shopping. I seldom have the time to do anything that I would personally enjoy. Now that the winter weather is here (we have about 6 inches of snow already), I'll be down even less--I am terrified of driving in the snow.
Given the time I could spend hours in the library. When I lived in NJ, there was a library about a block away and I'd get lost in there. Pure heaven!

I also liked visiting the library way back in college because I love the quiet and it's really a good place to think. But over time, I find myself visiting less frequently. I now read more often from resources online.
I think accessibility to information has been a main issue for me. The internet can easily pull whatever data you are researching on at an instant however, not all things online are reliable. Sometimes, there is still a need to confirm information in a library which always offers reliable information to the readers.
I think libraries should not become obsolete. They must also enhance and upgrade their services especially in terms of brokering information to its patrons. I just really wish our own public library will improve, until then, I know its just going to be a storehouse of books.

I take my 5 year old son to the library once a week. We started going because my neighbor casually mentioned something called "Family Storytime" that my library has. We went one week to check it out, and both my son and I got library cards. We don't always go to storytime anymore, but we still go to the library once a week. My son looks forward to it.

I enjoyed visiting my local library I would be able to get all the latest releases for free. I would go about once every 2 weeks and I could take out 6 books and I would read these within the 2 weeks. As time went on I seemed to have less time to read and did not go as often. I have moved to Bulgaria now and I am trying to find out if there is a library facility here, although I don't know if they would have many books in english, and my bulgarian is not good enough yet to read bulgarian books!
