beer bread

awhile back i had some family come to visit. i'm not a big beer drinker so i didn't have any in the house. they bought some while they were here, but it all didn't get drunk. so when they left the beer was left in my house as well. i didn't want to just throw it away but i would not have drank it.. lol. i marrinated some meat with it and i had made some beer battered muchrooms and fried pickles but other than that i didn't know what to do with the rest of it. i got online and found beer bread. i had never hear dof it before but apparently people have been making it forever. haha. i made a loaf and it was great. it was perfect for me because i'm more of a cook and not so great at baking, but this was easy and tasted yummy! it was wonderful plain, but then i started to think about what else i could do with it. i put some orange marmalade and dreied cranberries in one loaf and baked it up and then put a glaze on top... it was VERY good! so i was wondering if anyone else had ever made it with anything else in it and would be willing to share what they did. thanks! :)
