How to split avi part file

try xilisoft avi splitter/joiner, that's easy to use but Im also confused with the details you said, you can't play part 1 so there's part two meaning the movie is splitted at least into two?

I can't really follow what you are asking. However, it seems more likely that you have downloaded a file that was split into parts and now must be joined in order to play it. The two common split and join methods are winrar and hjsplit. Both should still be able to be found for free by doing a search. If it is winrar, then the names would have part1, part2, etc. in them. If it is hjsplit, then they would have .001, .002, etc. One thing you have to watch out for is that avi files often have .avi added on to the .001 part when downloaded to give .001.avi and you have to remove the .avi before hjspit can recognize the parts to join them.

If you have downloaded part files you have to merge them first. i think what ever the tools has been used to split them you have to use it to merge all of them. i think they must have used winrar and you must use this software directly and it will do the job. you must have all the parts full.
