What to write about?

It seems that there is good money to be made by writing articles. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that writing is probably the most profitable enterprise on the web. I am a fairly good writer once I get going, but I am having a terrible time trying to figure out what to write about. I thought about it, and it seems it would be best to spend some time writing articles until I have a small stockpile, and then begin posting them. Perhaps I would spend some time each weekend replenishing my stockpile, thereby having a never-ending stream of articles to publish. The problem with that plan is that I sit down to write and I have no idea what to wrte about. What kind of article does one write, when writing with the intention of posting them on the web? Are "how to" articles the best choice? I am just completely stumped! Someone give a a kick start!

Any article is a good article.I agree that there are some that are more interesting to others. How to articles seem to be a good one that catches peoples eyes right along with medical articles.I have seen people who have wrote about things that they have done to earn money online or other things that they have done.I would do creative writing as well,I like to write to.I hope I have given you some ideas that might help gear you up.Good luck and have a great day.

It depends on who you will be writing for and your writing style. For instance, eHow accepts only how to pieces. Some people make decent money there and some don't; it just depends on how you write and how deeply involved you get with the site.
You'll do better at Associated Content tackling current events as well as seasonal topics and the most popular ongoing topics.
Others - Constant Content, textbroker, odesk and more, are looking for different things. It's best to find the site to write for, then study and align your work to their needs or to what seems to sell best there.
A word of advice: Don't stockpile. You'll find yourself writing things that won't be of much use if you then find there's no market for it. Write one piece that you think will sell and post or submit it. When you find out whether it will or not, then you'll know whether to write more of that type.
You'll learn as you go... but if you can write, don't give up. It may take some doing to find the right market for your material, but keep trying and you'll do it.

You can sign up on websites that will publish your articles such as Ehow, Buksia, Associated Content, and there are many more. They can provide you with a topic if you don't have one. The only thing about writing for these companies or online for that matter, is not only being able to express what you want to say, but you have to know how to use SEO language, so that your article will appear in good standing on the search engines.
The easiest stuff to write about is on things you already know. If you are a good cook, then write about cooking. If you want to make money online, though you have to be able to do good research and have to know what people are looking for. You can be the best writer in the world, but if people can't find you on the web, then there is no use in getting your articles published.

You should write something about you know quite well.
From your previous discussion, I know you are quite having a hard time financially. You should write about it. Because you are not the only one going through it. I bet there are lots having the same experience. You could be a voice for all of us.

Hi there!
It is good to know that you are a writer. You may write on any subject, which feels comfortable to you and you have sufficient knowlege about that subject. You may write about yourself or your friends, your enviornment, social problems, imaginations or fiction. There is no dearth of topics. I also sometimes write on Associated Contents. All the best.

Writing about something you like is mostly the best practice. You can't write about things you don't like to do or don't like to write about.
One tip for when you're organizing facts and information before writing an article is to use a mindmanager like Mindjet Mindmanager it is like making balloons with keywords like you'd do in school. It works great, I use it when I write articles!

I think the person who posted suggesting you write about your financial situation had a good idea. It is certainly topical at the moment - I am currently unemployed and I have looked up online tips for saving and managing money, for being frugal in my situation, all that sort of thing.
For me, I am not so good at the how to type things, and have a more personal sort of style so I try to write from experience really - I have written stuff related to my diabetes and experience of an eating disorder, for example.
Just keep writing, you will find your niche!

What catches your eye? What catches your fancy? If you are in a bookstore, what section do you gravitate toward? That is your interest. Assume that other people share your interests (they do) and follow your natural instinct. Be curious and tell other people what your curiosity has led you to do.
